This may be the best action movie of all time, when movies can go beyond the physical limitations of sets and locations and totally give themselves over to virtual environments magic can happen. Hopefully this movie opens the eyes of a lot of directors to what is truly possible out of film making today.

I would not use 300 as a representative historical documentary (rather far from it), but it stays loyal to its roots--the comic book series it was based upon. Its action sequences are amazing. Blood falls and victims are slain as if part of a dance. This is a great addition to any movie collection.

See this movie! Great acting and cinematography! The plot plays out at a fast action pace, with political twists that could be as relevent to todays battles of one party against another for control and power. Many realistic fight sceens. Get this one for your collection!!

I've seen this movie a total of 4 times so far and with each viewing I'm more impressed. The CGI graphics are by far the best I've seen in any movie other then Beowulf, the acting I personally think was done pretty decently, and the action scenes are not something to miss.

This movie was fun to watch. The CGI was amazing and the acting was top notch (although the ascents seemed weird). This is a very close adaptation of Frank Miller's graphic novel, would a few things added to make the story more fleshed out. The DVD is great, although I'd recommend the HD version more, so you can see the movie in it's full glory.

Ridley Scott did produce this movie and he is the same person who did Sin City and both of those movies (300 and Sin City) are great movies and the special effects in both of those movies are very good and 300 is just worst seeing for t6he special effects.

You know, I'm not really big on the war(ish) movies--but, man oh man, this one has it all! Amazing acting--even better visual effects--it just leaves NOTHING to be desired. We bough this dvd the day it came out, and have watched it many times since then

I honestly didnt know what to expect when I put this dvd in the first time. I just kept hearing that I "had to see it". Amazing. Easily one of the most visually amazing pictures I have ever seen. Great story and characters as well. I highly recommend!

this movie will definately put your surround sound to the test. intense violent battles throughout make this much more a guy movie. a more small scale movie compared to say Troy where the space just feels more open and you can get a sense of the surroundings. very uniquely done. definately a Frank Miller movie. check it out.

An awesome Sin City twist put on the amazing story of the hold out of 300 against a million or so Persian Army. The half comedic art combined with the superbly done action scenes makes this film a must see for all action fans out there.

Just so you all know, it is a war movie of an actual event and portrays it pretty good, with that in mind there are many gorry secnes and alot of blood. All in all i thought this was a very good movie and is added to my collection!!

This was a fabulous movie that was filled with many action packed scenes. The cinematography was outstanding, and the storyline was incredible. I recommend this to anyone who wants to be on the edge of your seat the whole movie.

This movie was absolutely amazing. I rate it high among the great of its genre such as Braveheart, The Lord of the Rings, Kingdom of Heaven, etc... This movie is a must see for anyone looking for an awesome action movie.

SWEETEST MOVIE EVER ! This movie is so epic after I saw it I became desensitized to action movies. No movie has ever been this brutal and executed with such love and care into its production. Its a Monster of a film

I almost never buy movies...my dvd collection is really, really small, but I saw this on the big screen and had to get it. I am soooo glad I did! The picture quality was amazing. Definitely a great buy!!

I saw this movie on IMAX and it was unbelievable. I bought the DVD the first day it was released and only wish I had IMAX at my house as I truly believe that's the only way anyone should watch any movie.

I'm pretty sure my math adds up, it's been a while since high school algebra though. Do your self a favor and buy the movie to check my answer (in HD or Blu-ray if you are one of the fortunate).

SPARTANS MUST FIGHT TO THE DEATH. THIS MOVIE IS DOESN'T HAVE ONE MOMENT OF A LET DOWN. IT KEEPS YOU HOOKED IN FOR EACH SCENE. THE BATTLES, FIGHTS, KILLS AND MANY OTHER THINGS ARE AWESOME

One of my favorite films of the past 5 years. The action in this film is nonstop and the plot itself is very inspirational. Graphics are like none other. You will not regret this purchase.

This is a great movie, and a future classic film. The acting is not A+ but still very good. I just love everything about this movie, and it is based on the actual recorded history.
