This is not the movie that it's predecessor would lead you to believe. Even though it is basically the same body as the 300. It just feels like they tried way too hard to bring us a story that never really got off it's knees. If you are a diehard 300 fan (and who is really ) get this movie. If not, just rent it. Personally, I have yet to stay awake through the entire movie in 5 sittings.

The first was quite the original so not to surprising that this one wasn't on the same level as it but still a good movie.

This movie had similar theme like the first one. Great special effects but the story line was better in the first movie.

It was good! I enjoyed the Cinematography. It might have been more relevant if it had come out sooner after the first one.

This movie was great in the theater; I wanted to see it again. If you saw 300 and enjoyed it. 300 The Rise of an Empire will not disappoint. You have yet to see 300. Not a problem this movie stands on its own.

I love it because it was a continuation of the original and it shows what was going on around the background of the story.

Hard to follow at the beginning, after i understrood the movie was entertaining. They could of left out some of the blood.

there is always a great risk that any prequel or sequel will not measure up to the original but that was not the case with 300 - Rise of an Empire. It was well done and worth the wait in addition to my hard earned cash.

Used this as a stocking stuffer for my husband since he didn't get to watch it in the theaters ... He really enjoyed it

Great Movie but lacked the action of 300. The story line was great that it occurred immediately following the first movie

I was glad that this movie met my expectations. It was better than what I have read online and glad I waited to make my own decision about the movie. I am waiting to get a 3D tv so that I can check out the 3D effects.

I liked how they worked this as a tandem story with 300. The visuals were just as superb.. I loved the nautical battles!

acting was just average and action scenes were not as good as the original '300'. needed more ship vs ship fight scenes.

Was having a hard time looking for this movie with digital code included, Best Buy is always the store tat I like purchasing movies.

Nice time pass. Fast paced script, cool action and cgi. Not as good as the first one but decent eye catching action.

Showed how a people fought for their existence in light of the fact that they were far outnumbered.by their adversary.

This movie, while it's history is a little hazy, sticks close enough to reality to still stand on it's own. Action was great, the wrapping up the story from "300" was excellent, and it left me wanting a third movie.

The movie it's really authentic. Love those movies old movies when Cesar empire they are so interesting to watch old stories when the warriors have to fight for their families and themselves life's. I just love it.

A well done sequel to the original 300. Watching this action movie on Blu Ray is a great overall video experience.
