It's a good followup flick to the original 300 and fun to watch. The cinematography and CGI is very well done and the action is attention-getting but if you're a stickler for historical accuracy this movie isn't for you.

Love this movie as much as the first . It's an extends more story telling to a lot of the other characters from first movie . I love how the battle field is on water so that's something different . Great action sequences

300: Rise of an Empire was a very entertaining film. Fun adventure with a ton of action sequences and violent, bloody battles. Good acting, decent story but not quite as good as the first film. Still a worthy follow up.

Same essential plot line as the first movie, over matched Greek warriors against a massive Persian army. The only difference is this one takes place at sea. Good acting and cinematography definitely helped this film

If you aren't a fan of the original 300 movie then you won't like this one. It's not breaking a new ground to redeem it for you. This movie is meant to play along with the first one. Eva Green is amazing as the villain.

Great battle movie, gives some pre history to 300 the movie. I would have like to have seen more historical information of the period and thought the end could have been better, but not all movies have happy endings.

This particular movie had a great special effects. I bought it because I have a theater room and can enjoy all the Bluray Quality and sound that this movie has to offer. It did not disappoint. Buy it .

I enjoyed this prequel/sequel to the original. The movie was good, but did not leave the lasting impression of the first. The lead actors were all good, but it seemed to be missing something without Gerard Butler.

The original 300 is one of my favorite movies. This one is good and I do recommend buying it but not up to the same standard the first set. The lack of focus on the Spartans really takes away for potential greatness.

Love the movie. Most of the 3D is impressive, but there were many scenes that had orbs of light crossing the screen. Thinking it snow fall for a bit. Some what distracting after a while. Anyone else notice this?

If you go into this movie expecting a visually pleasing, relatively violent, action movie then you'll enjoy it. There's nothing extremely great about the plot or acting, but I was thoroughly entertained throughout.

The special effects are great, and I like the female villain, made watching movie more interesting. Action scenes are exciting but some scenes are too violent. Not recommended for kids. Overall, 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Not the original, but still highly enjoyable. Sullivan Stapleton takes on the unenviable task of taking up the mantle of Gerard Butler's Leonidas, and manages very well. Eva Green is electric, as always.

Hollywood has never allowed facts or truth get in the way of a good story. That being said, the movie was good, it did what it intended, it entertained. It is almost entirely CGI, but what movie nowadays isn't.

300:Rise of an Empire was a fun movie. It was however not as good as the prequel. I do like the way animation and real life action is interspersed in the action. I recommend this for the action minded viewer

eva green controls the screen while a lacluster male cast prance around covered only by theres sheilds i didnt care for the whole lot of them nor remember then also the blood sprays looked so stinking silly...

First 300 told us the short story in great graphic detail. Now we get the great detail and in 3D. A great tale told by another perspective very close to the original tale. Adds to 300 with a more rich pictiure.

I really enjoyed watching this again. I origanlly saw it in the movie theater in 3D and it was fun but no time to digest all the gore. Now I can go back in time and watch the cool scenes over and over again.

I really enjoyed the 1st 300 story. I was truly looking forward to how this movie was going to pick up from the 1st and I was pleasantly pleased. If you are into Greek mythology, add thus to your collection.

Wasn't expecting a good film when I purchased it The oiled up men & wild special effects Loved the heroine storyline The woman ruled with vicious authority!! Plus they are gorgeous
