Great fight scenes on the water. The movie brings the action up close. The 3D effect makes the movie even more exciting to watch.

To put it simply without spoiling anything, if you enjoyed the first movie I believe you will like this one almost just as much. The 3D is pretty exceptional also if you have the ability.

The first one was fantastic & this one is good too. It shows a lot more of the back story which is cool. Great costumes on the main girl character, worth watching just for her outfits

It's a good movie in the spirit of 300... There is a lot of action and good special effects but there are also some special effects that could have been done differently or not at all...

I enjoyed this movie. It wasn't as good as the original, but few sequels are. That being said, it was a good action-packed movie. I bought the 3D version, and thought the 3D was decent.

I liked this film in spite of it clearly bring derivative of the visual style of the first movie. Eva Green's sexy/evil character is worth mentioning as a unique aspect of this sequel.

I was very satisfied all the way around the movie. All the characters played good roles and picture was awesome and I am truly satisfied and recommend this movie to all families. Adults because it has a lot of intense scenes on graphics and war. I am so happy to have purchase this movie for my collection.

This movie is amazing. Crazy computer generated effects, and the definition is superb. You history buffs have to pick up this flick and I'll go ahead and bet that you'll watch it more than once the first month you own it!Not worthy of being a rental. Buy this Blu-Ray and get a free digital copy...

If the original Frank Miller was likeable, this second installment will not disappoint. Action enough, with stylized gore, what's not to like with Eva Green as the leading lady.

Fairly historical accurate of this part of world history, characters are done well, even the one Eva Green plays which is almost totally a fabrication. Enjoyable film.

The first movie blew me away. I'm a huge movie buff and I am embarrassed to say there are "B" movies I love, even what some people may call "flops". It isn't many movies I stop in the middle because I am BORED. I am a history buff and love the era of this film, and have a huge collection including 300, I bought this film figuring I would at least like it, if not love it. All I can say is Oopps!, oh well, I hear there is a third coming out, being a Science major I'm a "big picture" type of person, maybe I'll "get it " then lol

If you saw the first 300 movie, then this one shouldn't be too big of a surprise. Go into it with the right expectations, and watch it with the right friends, and it is good fun.

This is a good sequel. Not as good as the original because it seemed a little scattered on the storyline. However, if you have not seen the original movie, it is worth the watch.

i was hoping to like this just as much as 300 but gerald butler's leonidas was a much more compelling lead character. very stylized and violent. not for the kiddies....AT ALL lol

The story is a long way from reality, Persian characters all have come from the mind of the patient's Writer, However, the only thing that did not distort history and not more. If you had looked at Persepolis historical symbols only once, Fully understand all the characters and dress and culture and created a devastating. Xerxes is no way that someone that you've built and only open the doors you had a history of insulting installment. In the end, I'm not bothered because I know with such films history can never change.

Seven years ago, we all witnessed the bloodiest war movie, and this movie has the same amount of violence as the first. If you loved 300, you will truly love Rise of an Empire

This film was a pleasant surprise. I didn't expect it to be as good or even close to the original 300. The story and acting were great. I would suggest anyone to buy this movie.

This is an awesome movie. Guys love the action and girls love looking at the guys. Bonus features give a lot of behind the scene notes as well as historical accounts and details

I and my daughter are 300 fans. When I see it coming on TNT or something I will pull out my Blu-ray and put it on So therefore I had to have the new one Rise of an Empire. If you are a 300 fan then you have to get Rise Of The Empire. It picks up where the 300 left off. Wonderfully entertaining.

A great sequel to the first movie 300, a good story where the first left us wanting more, Rise of an Empire. P.S. Hopefully there will be a third film soon.
