The HDMI port went out (quit working) and I wanted be able to watch DVD's when my TV was not working. I got this TV as a replacement and it works great. It has two HDMI ports so that I can plug my satellite receiver in to one and my Blue-Ray/DVD player into the other.

It will stream ROKU with a netflix account and receive all channels with clarity. Speaker is excellent versus comments we read before purchasing.

I was looking for an energy efficient unit that had sleep mode that would allow my child to watch 15-30 minutes of Dino Dan and comfortably fall asleep. This tv meets that purpose.

I purchased a dynex television years ago and I still love it. Insignia is a good brand made by dynex sold by best buy.

It was going to be connected only to a regular antenna so I had concerns since my prior tv would only pick up one station. This tv works great. I am able to see about 20 channels which has a large variety of topics.

Had identical set with "Smart" label for another $50. I'm too dense to figure out how to use that one, though, so this set works just fine.

good and easy set up

I only wish that comcast was more reliable, then I could tell you that the TV was great. Comcast is a disaster and no one should use it, if you have a choice. Expensive for lousy customer service, poor quality, and even worse ON DEMAND.

Most importantly, it has been as trouble free as all the other Insignia branded products I've purchased.

The one thing that really brings this TV down is the sound, just not loud enough for the garage. But other than that great TV.

Our other Insignia remotes surprisingly will not change the channels on this TV. I doubt universal remotes would work, but why would we be forced to buy one?

Since I'm a cord cutter, a regular remote with all the numbers suites me better, so consider that if you use an antenna for your shows
