I can put this TV up with the reputation of the Samsung Smart TV's for full-featured, probably MORE inputs and output interfaces. And actually the easiest of all I have been exposed to. Vizio and Samsung, which I have bought two of each brand to try, but one of the Samsung Smart TV's melted down to one day, NO MORE PICTURE after no more than having it for 6 months. Vizio, bought 2, one had a broken screen when I picked it up, but I expected the reputation would be noticeable, but the opposite with respect to features, ease of use, self-explanatory (NOT). And the few function buttons on the remote are so small, and can't tell what the little icons even for or are supposed to resemble. I use these TV's for each room, as well for extending my desktops on my computers, and they aren't designed for INTENSE GAMING performance, but for EVERYONE else, imagine having two 40 or 55inch screens to relax on a Friday or Sunday, with two complex spreadsheets on one screen so huge and effortless to see, navigate, etc. with another screen for tasks those spreadsheets are being used for, and, enough room for your email, a web browser to searh the internet at any time, as well as another window with Facebook logged in. All in perfect view at the same time! Don't even have to switch between apps.....I actually now have two 50inch models and a touchscreen all-in-one computer in the middle. Amazing! Probably overkill for many but if you had even 1 or 2 32" models, much more productive and relaxed along the way. I would give these TV's 5 stars, and right now would if only compared to Vizio and Samsung.

After remodeling a guest room in my house, I was looking to replace an 8 year old Samsung 32” LCD television that was mounted on the wall. Being this is a room not frequently used, I didn’t want to spend much, but also wanted something a little bigger, with more features than the old Samsung. I also do not use cable/satellite, therefore, I wanted something with built in smart tv/streaming features. I have never purchased anything other than Samsung, LG, or Sharp brand televisions, so I was a little skeptical of buying Best Buy’s in house brand, Insignia. After reading the reviews and comparing prices/features/dimensions of comparable TV’s, I decided to give Insignia a try. I purchased in store and brought home to mount on the wall. After mounting the TV, and completing the set up for all my streaming services, I was impressed. Mounting was a breeze considering the TV weighs significantly less than my Samsung. The picture quality is comparable, if not better, when compared to the old Samsung 1080p LCD. I noted the sound quality of the insignia was much better than that of the Samsung. Compared to my other, high end TV’s, the sound quality is actually very good. It’s hard to get good sound out of the factory speakers of newer TV’s. Set up of the WIFI features was a breeze. The remote is simple to use considering it is the same remote as a roku, stand-alone device. Now, I’ve only had the TV for a few hours now, but overall, I am very impressed with the overall quality and features. I purchased the 2 year extended warranty for roughly $30. In my experience, the warranties are worth it because I’ve had $3,000 TV’s develop issues shortly after the factory warranty expires. Best Buy has always been good about exchanging the TV under warranty or giving me a refund gift card for the original price paid. For the price of this set, quality, and features, I’d say if your are looking for a similar set for low cost........go for it. I’ll update the review if things change in he near future.

Perfect TV to combine over-the-air OTA television and streaming services. Remote will take some getting used to and has different functions depending on whether you're streaming or watching live TV, but is easy to learn and intuitive like a smart phone. Insignia is a favorite brand of mine along with ROKU service. This is the perfect blend of those two. Don't own a TCL or other ROKU tv so I can't compare.

I was a bit worried that this TV wouldn't have a clear picture but I was so pleasantly surprised! It has an amazingly clear picture, clearer than any of my other TVs that cost a lot more. I loved the Roku option so much that I bought rokus for all my other TVs. Now I don't have to rent a box from Spectrum for cable on the other TVs. The roku has the spectrum app available. Great purchase!!

I used this in my living room initially. Great picture and have had no issues. Decided to move it to the patio and it set up quickly and smoothly. Easily syncs up to wi-fi to play apps. I have it hooked up to an outside antenna so it picks up local channels as well. Insignia appears to be a great value..

Very good picture, the TV tuner is more sensitive than my other TVs and I get more OTA changes from the same antenna. Setup was super easy, you can even add a USB memory stick and pause live TV. I love the Roku interface, the TV even has dual band wifi that gets a good strong signal. Well worth the money.

    The TV I Needed

I did a whole lot of shopping because of a specific need, dimensions! Before flat screen televisions were available my father built a very nice oak entertainment center. Insignia was the only brand that made a 39" LED Smart TV with the external dimensions I needed, so I really had no choice. I mounted it on a swivel table top stand and it's almost pressure fitted in the opening. There is literally about 1/128th" of clearance. I'm attaching a photo. Since this was going in my parents house resolution wasn't critical as they still have SD satellite receivers, but I've also installed a new HD antenna and a Blu-Ray DVD player and Wowzer! I have always purchased higher end televisions that cost much more, and this picture rivals theirs, and if you figure in the price of the unit, it's better. I can't speak to motion rates or gaming as this television won't be used for any of that, but for a low cost Roku platform Smart TV with a good picture, this would be a great choice. As is the case with several Roku platform televisions, regardless of manufacturer, a wireless network is required to connect to the internet for the smart features, steps easily skipped if you don't plan to use them, as there is no ethernet port. You can buy an adapter for a LAN hookup if you don't have a wireless router or modem, and utilize other ports. There's HDMI, USB, A/V, Coaxial etc, and WiFi. Got mine on sale and I have nothing but praise for this fairly priced unit.

I'm really late but I've had this television since 2016 at 3 different houses and had 0 issues. Other than the normal (very rare) malfunctions like it turning off on its own, which I believe are just bugs from updates, it's worked wonderfully. And about 3 of those 4 years I've gone to bed with the tv on. This is my MAIN television in my bedroom that I literally have running just about all day everyday. This was my first smart tv purchase and I honestly don't want to bother with trying another brand. After all the horror stories I've heard with friends and family's experiences with smart tvs, I honestly cannot relate. I 100% recommend

Love our Roku TV, way less commercials and cheaper than cable or satellite! Easy setup and picture quality is great. Good product for the price. Gave it four stars because sometimes it freezes up and restarts on its own which is kind of annoying, but that might just be an internet connection problem.

We had to get a new TV to have the right connections for my mom's new hearing aid adapter. For a non-4K device, it has a wonderful picture (even on the oldies channel) and is easy enough to use that my 76 yr old mother had no problems. Good price too.

The size of the screen and all the apps that come with it are perfect for any household. Signing up was a breeze with any app on this tv. It has a bright screen and excellent sound. The remote is easy to use even though it is small but don't let that fool you. Built-in V-chip feature for parental control. The 6.5 ms response time for picture refreshing reduces blurring when watching fast-moving images in shows and movies, so no matter what your watching you get the best picture. Connect any other audio and video devices to this Insignia LED HDTV, using HDMI cables for improved sound and picture quality. 720p resolution for quality HD images and movies. Two 7W main channel speakers for excellent sound. 2 HDMI inputs, 1 USB input. If I were to buy another I would buy one of these again. Highly recommend this ROKU Smart TV.

We bought this for our teenage son & to place in the bedroom with his PS4 gaming system along with a cable box to watch TV when wanted. Not as our main TV which is downstairs & a 50" Phillips SmartTV. This TV is smaller but just as good if not better picture quality than the Phillips one we have. The sound is fine to me. Someone posted they didn't like the sound. Mess around with the sound controls & you can make it sound so much better. Just a great looking TV & works perfectly.

I am too proud of my Insignia T.V. & the great unbeatable price. However, the T.V. set-up with my AT&T U-Verse was challenging. Especially considering I'm not 100% over the top technology savvy. AT&T U-Verse reps had to work with me on the set-up. I purchased the T.V. for a guest bedroom, so for what I paid to ensure my guests can watch T.V. at their leisure, the picture quality is good.

For a smart TV this one is great, setup is way easy, just turn it on and it goes through the process with easy peasy questions like "which internet is yours?" or "what's plugged into the hdmi slot, a ps4?" It is also very light and the edge bezels are quite small for a TV this inexpensive, which means all you see is pretty much lit beautiful 1080p resolution.
