Wanted to replace it with a newer, lighter, 1080p model. The ROKU version was a plus as we use Spectrum that FIRE TV don't honor. Has a great picture and fills the bill, plus the price was pretty good. Actually bought a TLC several months later for another room for even less that works just as well! Happy with both!

Insignia Roku 39" TV

Pleasantly surprised by the sound
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did not expect much from this Roku TV. The picture was nice and bright and the controls intuitive. This is a Roku TV so you're entire menu system/OS is the Roku interface (you either like it or you don't.) The thing I was more or less shocked by was the quality and clarity of the sound from such a budget TV set. This is no 500W booming 7.1 system of course but for a $200 TV the sound was above par for down firing speakers. My only gripe is the Roku portion of the TV is a little laggy at times from probably a bare-minimum processor/CPU. The responsiveness of menus is about the same as the 1st gen Roku stick. Not a huge problem, but, I've gotten used to faster streaming devices. Just to clarify, I'm NOT talking about the actually streaming of content - that is just fine. I'm talking about the navigation - it's sluggish at times.

Good TV, bad Remote

If you are expecting the awesome Roku remote you are accustomed to, you will be disappointed. The remote unfortunately is an IR remote rather than an Bluetooth remote which means it needs line of sight. Other than that, great TV. Very happy with my purchase.
