I'm not using any streaming services as of yet, just [major satellite provider brand withheld]. While it is cool to have a built in Roku, (just watched a Weird Al marathon on a free music streaming ap with my Grandson!) the overwhelming majority of why I'm using it is my satellite receiver. Except it defaults to Roku when first powered. You have to tell it to switch to an HDMI input... my technophobe wife can't figure it out even after showing her many times. But I'm sure she's just being passive aggressive. So I would recommend to a friend with one caveat. If it's for a single purpose use, or primarily for inputs like a PC or game console, content box, Blu-Ray/DVD player, etc. OR for a display at a kiosk or similar (e.g. scrolling menu board or news headlines/sports/weather scroll) this probably wouldn't be a good first choice. NOTE: I'm writing this in a northern state in January, so I'd like to pass on some advice for ANY television, not just this one. When you first get your new device home, if the weather is cold let it sit without opening the box for several hours. The "L" in "LCD" is liquid. Too quick of a temp change can cause damage. (LED is the back-light. The actual panel is an LCD.) Let it gradually come to room temperature before opening.

I was a little skeptical when I purchased this TV to replace an insignia 32 inch that I gave to my son. However, because of the 32 inch I gave this a try. Wow what a picture. I could not believe it. The 1080p colors were brilliant and bright. The sound is pretty good also although I have to admit I use this more for gaming and the sound is usually off. Package very well and delivered on time with zero damage.

It's got Roku and I'm learning all about those features and it's the perfect TV for a smaller room.
