This is my first drone and I really love it. I would recommend!

I had preordered solo from 3d robotics, was super upset it was available in best buy before mine was shipped. It loses the gps way to easily and the stuff that it shows you can do on their YouTube videos you can't do yet because the gimbal is not out, and no one knows when it will really be out

It's amazing how much this drone has gone down in price since it was released mid 2015. I was able to pick up an amazing package for $350! For my first drone it is really great. There is a simulator app to practice flying and the controls didn't take too long to get use to. I watched a few videos and learned tips for flying. The auto flights are very helpful too to get professional and controlled shots. For the price I would recommend this to anyone that is looking for a first drone.

Pros: intuitive drone. Cons: large size drone/ bulky.

Bought this drone and it has been great to learn how to fly

While the 3DR drone may still be in its infancy its place in the drone world will soon be solidified when the Gimbal is released. At present it may not be fit for Photo or Video yet but the features inside are amazing for the price. Up until now you would be spending a very long time building, customizing and then learning before you would be able to own a drone that could do half of what the SOLO can do now. I know some people have been having problems but these few hiccups are outweighed by the overwhelmingly positive feedback the Drone community has given it. Its smart fly capabilities allow users with little to no experience perform complex maneuvers usually only capable by very experienced flyers and usually with 2 pilots in control. (One for the drone and one for the camera) I also own a DJI Phantom 3, and like I said, once the gimbal is released for this drone, it may be my new #1 choice for my Aerial photography. Moreover, IF ANYTHING goes wrong with your flight, LOGS are instantly saved and can be sent directly to 3DR for analysis. 3DR is notorious for impeccable customer service, and anyone who is complaining on these reviews obviously did not seek out any help and thought better to just complain then to do something about it. That or they just expected everything to be perfect out of the box and just fly and get amazing pictures day one. That is not the case no matter how easy it is to fly. There is a learning curve and maybe the fact that it is available at Best Buy and some of the marketing 3DR has out as confused some of these new users into thinking that this is a toy. It is not. Do your research, learn on a smaller less expensive quad and make sure you understand everything the FAA safety guidelines have to say. If you are willing to learn a new craft and be a responsible pilot, Drone Photography can be a wonderfully adventurous hobby with great rewards. Safe flying everyone!

I read all the bad reviews and all the good ones. Truth is the price to me is worth the shot for a drone head like me. I did crash on my 2nd flight but that was I didn't read the flight manual and was going by the rules of my yuneec which are totally different. Just some RTH issues but hoping it works out cause I kinda like it.

At the blowout price it's a no brainer....even if you need to tweak or modify....it's worth it.... mine rocks!

new to using drones so take this review lightly. great device and love the controller. tested it up to 250ft and stable flying - fitted with GoPro silver (owned). tested it with light winds and word of warning when it comes to landing... make sure you have clear sight of the drone regardless of using the auto landing feature.

Great drone I own a few different brands, many useable features that make cinematic shooting easy breezy great for go pro users with the app connecting to phone via the solo wifi allowing you to see what and how your filming or taking a photo in live time, over all great product! **app could use a little work but that's it

It's a great drone for the price. It could be better if frequent updates were avaliavale for the software

Great deal on this drone for $299.I know 3DR is selling out on the consumer part but this is a great deal.
