    Geek Squad a liability, not properly trained

    Terrible service that turned into a nightmare. Went in prior to purchasing or install to have geek squad recommend a setup that would work for my car. Bought everything and dropped my car off 2 weeks later for a ten hour day. They called at pick up to tell me the amp could not be hooked up. They weren’t sure why, but hooked up everything else that was dependent on the amp. Told I could buy a $300 part, which they don’t sell, and it would work. No notice prior. Waited an hour standing there to get my car, as it was not finished as they stated on the phone. When I went to leave, my back up cam and SiriusXM didn’t work. The messed with it another hour to tell me they have no clue what’s wrong and to take it to the dealership on my own time and money. I call corporate and my Best Buy to file complaint. Hung up on or told I had to go to the store and see a manager. The store is closed inside, due to remodeling, and Covid numbers are out of control. I emailed GM of store who has never replied to me. Waste time and over $1000 of mine. I have been an elite plus member for years. Service was unbelievable in terms of communication and professionalism. Going to BBB and likely will not step foot in a Best Buy any time soon.

    On my first appointment, my interaction with the crew was great. They even made some suggestions, which I took, and was happy to have their opinions. On the follow up appointment, however, although the system was installed correctly, the team did not seem happy at all to help me. The garage doors are always closed and it has been a challenge to get someone who can talk to them and open the door. At the end when I picked up my car, I noticed an area of the dashboard had not been properly re-connected and I couldn't turn on the a/c. Although the fixed the issue, they barely made eye contact and were very dismissive. This department of the store needs some serious customer service training.
