    Get out of car stereo installation attempting

    The worst installation I've ever had. The radio would reset when a phone call was made. Amplifier was in the place I told him a speaker box went, the unit was so clapped out of tune that it blew 3 woofers at volume level 14, It sounded like I was listening to anything through a tin cup. I couldn't hear the front 6 speakers at all. Now, my vehicle chimes do not work at all, which means that you guys damaged a 700-800 dollar sensor. And in the end, when I went back in, 100 mile round trip for me, to have you guys fix and tune the stereo; you're guy decided that it was easier to just pull everything out and wanted to send me away with nothing in my truck. (That's the best part of this because I went to Lombards and got taken care of by professionals) You guys should never attempt a car stereo installation again.

    Front speakers not connected,will have to return and have fixed. Otherwise would have been 5 stars. They have done a couple for me and I was satisfied before.

    The installation came out good just wish the tech would have recommended a subwoofer since the door speakers didn't have any bass.

    Good install but took too long

    Installation took much longer than expected was told it was going to be 4 hours and it took all day. It was also very hard to get updates.

    I drove from Bullhead City Arizona to make my appointment and i get their 45 minutes early, and the technician tells me that he could not install all of my equipment that he was to busy to do it at that time i watched them myself for 45 minutes doing nothing!! At wich point i ask if you couldn't do the work why didn't you call me and tell me at wich point he told me "we don't do that" at wich point i asked for the store manager and they all told me their is nothing he could do and then they tryed pushing a extra amp on me to make more money off me because they said i needed it!!! Told me the amp i have was not good enough the technician didn't even look at the amp!! Just really poor service from a company you would think is professional because of the partnership between geek squad and best buy!!! Really Really poor service and communication skills!!!

    The crew was courteous but there was trouble in timeliness and quality. My work wasnt complete and was asked to retun to finish. when I returned they did not connect the remote start wiring leading to continuous battery discharge.

    The equipment was installed and works great, but the amp was not anchored down under the seat to anything. It is just lying under the seat and it moves. Will have to have someone finish the job.

    The guy that did my stereo amp speaker install did a poor job on doing so ever since then my driver side window don’t close right broke the door latches didn’t reinstall the old screws around door panel making my truck make noises like falling off it’s Ben the worst experience on top of it I bought the geek squad service and it was never mention to me that I had to pay extra for my installation so I get a bill when I showed up for appointment… never again will I trust them with my vehicle…

    Wont get into detail, but Best buy does not pay much attention to this part of the department at the germantown location. I went had my install done. Waited and saw that all sales associates in the store had no clue about anything in car electronics. The poor two employees have to spend more than half their time answering questions for customers that need help with car electronics. From what i observed all install jobs will take about twice as long as they say. They employees are great but they just need some sales associates to assist them by knowing about products, compatibility and installations. They installed my wiring wrong but went back and the associate was more than happy to help me out even though his mistake with the wiring blew out my sub. The store replaced my sub. I left nice music but the subs would go out after while. Went to seek some professional help else where turns out my amp was not tuned the right way. BEST BUY needs to provide this area some attention on how to better the service.

    Multiple errors found in workmanship

    Had entire sound system done, 2 amps 4 speakers and a subwoofer, didn't bother with a headunit. Installation was done within alloted timeframe Declined demonstration because autoech was already gone. Rear driverside speaker crackling immediately after taking it out of the install bay Front passenger lock/unlock switch was never plugged back in prior to reinstalling the door. Called and was given a way to stop the crackling (ground loop isolator, installed myself) Have to take off the door panel myself and make sure the wiring is still okay for the passenger unlock switch Amps were not tuned by the Auto tech, sounded awful out of the install bay so I tuned them to the best of my abilities. Next available appointment isn't until February. Suprise AZ location probably not the best bet.

    Customer service issues.

    There were a couple of issues that caused this rating. The first issue was that a microphone that needed to be disabled in order for the system to work properly was not causing very loud static noises when the car traveled over 15 mph (all the time). That by itself was not that bad the issue was it was impossible to reach anyone to get this issue resolved. I ended up having to pay out of pocket elsewhere to get it resolved. The other issue was how long it took. I took my car in at 10:00 am for a 3 hour install and did not get it back until the following day. If I knew in advance then Incould have made arrangements but getting a call late that afternoon advising of that was a hassle.

    I'm not sure where to begin , balance or radio reversed, left channel not nearly as strong. Am barely turned up. 8 times in the shop a year in waiting warrenty and year of geek squad wasted. Not at all happy with the results.

    After going over equipment and ordering I went to the store on my installation appointment. I dropped off my car and got a call 2 hours later. I was told they didn't have the tools to complete the work. I had to find a ride, go back to the store and pickup my car. Now it's been 4 weeks and I still don't have my full refund. NOTHING WAS DONE TO MY CAR BUT WASTE MY TIME AND I HAVE CALLED 4 TIMES TO HAVE RESOLVED. STILL NO TOTAL REFUND FOR YOUR ERROR

    Overall everything looks fine and works properly but I showed up the day of my appointment and was told they couldn’t install it that day and then rescheduled my appointment for five days later, also the estimated time was 3hrs and 15min and it took almost 5hrs

    I scheduled this twice along with my door speakers and sub. Wouldn’t you know it it’s been cancelled 2 times and now your a month out. Very poor communication very poor customer service. And when I had my head unit installed after the debacle of missing parts and me paying an extra $150. It’s still not correct. I call and have to go thru the same speech that takes me to 3 different departments and 1 hour of my day each and every time. One star is one to many!

    5-Ch Kenwood Car Amp & Audio Control LOC Install

    The installer was was rude patronizing and negative throughout the entire install. The Kenwood Amp and Audio Control line out converter (LOC) was not tuned correctly, the amp & LOC is not set to maximum level without distortion, the LOC did not allow fade from front to rear. The power cable from the battery to the fuse was not long enough. The installer refused to install wire loom on any cables. The base knob installed with the LOC is not functioning properly. The amp and LOC are mounted to a board but the board was not secured to any thing.
