I have one in the main tv viewing room and wanted to add to another room and this cheaper model fit the bill. It works fine and is portable enough to take on vacation.

I bought this because my TV only has 2 HDMI ports and I was tired of having to swap the cords out when switching gaming systems. It gets the job done

I was looking for a basic hdmi switcher and this does just that. No frills just the basics.

After much trial and tribulation of "hooking" up all the cables, etc. it worked! The learning curve was a bit much, but eventually it paid off!

Works great. Have ps4, ps3, wiiu and pc connected to one TV and it is really easy to change from one device to another.(helps out a lot since TV only has 2 hdmi ports)

Bought this for our daughters TV which did not have enough HDMI ports for cable box, blu-ray player, and Chromecast. This was a simple and easy solution to the problem.

Works well. Does exactly what we needed. Switches automatically from cable box input to Blu-Ray player. Only downside is that it doesn't automatically switch back when we use the cable remote. But I think we can live with pushing one button instead of having to crawl behind the tv to swap cables!

Great switch and works well with both audio and video components from different manufacturers. I connected devices from the following: Apple Onkyo Sony DIRECTV Epson Unfortunately, my HDMI board blew out on my receiver. When I purchased a new one, the HDMI switch was no longer needed and I returned it. Still, I would recommend this switch.

My TV only has one HDMI port. Not surprising, since it was made 15+ years ago. It works connected to DirectTV just fine. I bought a Bluray player to steam and watch DVDs. I connected it all up, but switching to the Bluray gave me a "unrecognized format" error. I then connected the player directly to the TV and got the same error. I'm giving it 5 stars, though, because it's not at fault. Your mileage may vary.

I bought this for my plasma and may have had some technology that was not compatible with my tv, i simply returned it for a different one

Plugged it in and nothing ever worked. Tried moving wires around, STILL NOTHING. I got frustrated by the whole thing hu and now it's in my junk drawer.

This works very well. The reason it does work is because of the external power source. I've used one that you just plug everything in and it couldn't take even showing the screen for my PS4. It would flicker like crazy. This is much better and works perfectly. Don't let the price scare you away. It works, it does what it's supposed to. It's worth the money. Anything cheaper and it'll short on you before you know it. You get what you pay for.

Purchased this item because the HDMI post was not working. Version repair person suggested purchasing this product.

Worked great! Bought to use on a TV that only had 2 hdmi inputs, was able to connect 4 devices to one hdmi and switched automatically when I turned on each device. Highly recommend

Why do TVs only come with 3 when everything connects with hdmi and never can all of them run at once so you get 3 extra connections

If you are like me with at least 4 different boxes to hook up to your television this is what you need it makes it so much easier

Wasn't initially what I was shopping for however it did the job I was hoping that it would and was fairly easy to set up.

Good product bought this so I can hook up multiple machines and run one HDMI cable to my projector saves on a lot of money wires
