I have had the same problem three consecutive times with a Dyson vacuum. When I got the second one, I got a three-year extended geek squad warranty in anticipation of having further problems. The vacuum broke inside of what would have been the manufactures one-year warranty but because Best Buy replaced the vacuum under my extended warranty, that voided the extended warranty, and now my third product has already broken and the three-year warranty was a waste. This would be great for products that you expect to last beyond Their Factory warranty, but I would shy away if you have a product that has a higher potential for a short shelf life

This vacuum works great! Although I wish the attachments stayed on better, overall I have no regrets!

always a good idea to purchase an accidental protection plan. You never know when something is going to happen. Get your purchase re[;aced free or cheaper than purchasing another at ful cost.

I have never had any issue getting a replacement for a device with Geek Squad protection (If it is considered non repairable). Protection offers a solid peace of mind.
