    Always buy Geek Squad Protection on printers!!!

    When buying a printer, I highly recommend getting g the geek squad protection. From my experience, printers have always be a swap. They don’t send it out fro repair. They always give me in store credit to pick a new one if it fail. You can’t beat that!

    Extended warranty a good deal

    Although lot of magazines say extended warranties are a waste of money, the one I bought last year for my HP printer just saved me $100. The sale price on the printer was $99.99, so a two year warranty was only $10. Last week, it decided not to print black .I checked the cartridge and printer head and both were fine - so I called my Best Buy in Littleton and explained the problem. After I gave the serviceman my phone number and date of purchase, he brought it up on his computer and told me to bring in the bad one and they would replace it with a brand new one, still in the box. This is the easiest exchange I have ever made! They also gave me a refund on the unused part of the original warranty, which I applied to a new two year plan. I am extremely pleased with the warranty and the service from the Littleton Best Buy on South Wadsworth Blvd.

    The GSP replacement plan is second to none. You walk in, explain the issue, they check it out. Can't fix it? Boom, you get a replacement! Easy peasy, lemon squeezy.

    Best Buy warranty service purchase seems to cover a lot of potential failures. Word of mouth by other family members that had to use were pleased when had to utilize.Haven’t had to use so not able to comment fully.

    Definitely worth it. Unfortunately the print head caused an issue and spilled the ink. I was able to replace my printer with no hassle. Bought the protection plan on the new printer

    why i purchased the geek plan for just a headset.

    normally I dont purchase the 2yr replacement, but for the headsets I wear out, I always purchase this replacement cost. I wear my headset up to 10 hrs a day...but the real danger to my headsets are my cats. I had to replace my last headset at 15months of heavy usage due to the cat knocking the headset off and then knocking over the back up powersupply box, which landed on the headset and broke the headphone on the right side from the arch. Best money I have ever spent on a replacement cost. 5 bucks for two yrs vs 68 for a new headset. the last headset they didnt have anymore for the lower valued one, but best buy upgraded me to next higher version for free.

    The 4 yr warranty for replacement is definitely worth the cost. I recommend getting even if never need it , you just never know and it doesn't cost that much. Plus I have had a lot of experience with Geek Squad and Never been disappointed in their expertise.

    I appreciate having this service having the peace of mind of knowing things will be taken care of for four years. I had an issue with a printer I bought and beat buy was so helpful in resolving a technical issue I had. I was able to switch it to a printer that worked just great. I was very grateful I did not have to stress to solve issue

    I rarely pick up extra warranty protection on anything I buy, but I had purchased an Epson Workforce WF-4820 printer, and Consumer Reports rated Epsons very low for reliability. So, I figured that since the price was right and the specs were very good on this higher end printer I would pay the $35 in case anything went wrong. Sure enough, the top document feeder malfunctioned, and I returned it to Best Buy. They offered me a full refund instead of a repair. I accepted the refund, and with it I bought the Epson WF-3820 which just had a smaller screen than the 4820 and was spec'd a little lower in speed. Other than that, same machine. With the lower price I again bought the $35 protection warranty. Hopefully I will never need to use it on this unit.

    Geek Squad To The Rescue

    The first time out, I was able to talk to a very knowledgeable geek and he made my day. Let me explain. I bought a laptop online and after begrudgingly having to learn Windows 10, I was able to go online and setup the basics. The next day, I forgot my password and after 6 months, the laptop is useless without a previous google password. So I bought a desktop computer system, and after sweat and tears, it wouldn't allow me to input my phone emails. So, after several weeks of brooding, and while at Best Buy, I decided to inquire about the Geek Squad and I am a happy camper. I went on line and was immediately connected to a geek who not only spoke to me via internet but also by microphone using my speakers. He was able to troubleshoot my problems and set up the new desktop computer for me. Also, I received a bonus for signing up for 1 year. I received a free download of Webroot Internet Security +Antivirus at no additional charge. I haven't had any other issues yet, but if I do, I will contact the Greek Squad.

    4 years of service at this price is an excellent deal. Best part is being able to just drop the item off at Best Buy for repair, unlike the other after-market warranties that require you to troubleshoot the problem first and possibly have to ship the item. If they cannot fix it, they will replace it or give you a refund on the item. Also, this service plan is transferrable if you sell the item.
