    I keep getting the runaround and transferred from one person to the next. I am told that the 3 year accidental geek squad protection plan does not cover accidental damage. What a crock. $300. Accidental plan that does not cover accidental damage???????

    It definitely gives you a sense of security although it's really not necessary if you can reasonably take care of your hardware.

    It covers 1 replacement from Accidental Handling. That's the only reason I got it because the manufacturer doesn't do this.

    In home service option is great but I got 3yrs of accidental coverage total protection from HP for less than the one year with Geek Squad. I sincerely feel Best Buy loses major points on their value pricing when u add in warranty cost. Often times their warranty cost place the total price 15% above competitors

    Product is awful. It has been returned three time (counting this one). Repair lasted less than 2 weeks. It takes 2 weeks to get an appointment with the geek squad and another 8 weeks or more out for repair. I am demanding a replacement this time as the product has been broken and out for repair 90% of the time since we purchased it. It is a lemon. An the protection service leaves much to be desired.

    Was purchased under false guise that it would protect everything, not just hardware, but the equivalent of a full bumper to bumper warranty. When computer stopped working, I was advised that it was a software issue and it wasn't covered under the protection I bought.
