I have not had to use this yet, but on the off chance you need it, it is going to save you some serious cash. At the very least, your laptop will most likely not be holding a charge that well by the end of two years, and you can get your battery replaced. Overall, it will either save you cash or at minimum give you a peace of mind. I travel for work so the protection plan is going to keep me worry free about replacing it should something happen (although I will do my best to prevent that!)

I bought this protection on a just in case something happens, my sister has this aswell and i have seen how quickly they respond and are at yourt service., fixed her TV like new. I havent had to use it yet

After many visits and disappointments, the manager Jeff step-in and I was able to get my questions answered. The team was great that serviced my computer with a great turn around time. The setup my new computer and provided excellent customer service.

I can keep this short and sweet. If you buy any tech items, and you are plagued with bad luck and want a piece of mind, buy this. The one time you ever have to use it you'll be happy. Not buying it is like the old saying goes "stepping over dollars to pick up pennies".

Compare all the specs I list in the title against price to performance ratio of other brands with similar specs and you will see why this laptop puts them to shame. Sadly I don’t think HP made money undercutting competition selling these so they pulled all manufacturing and sales of them ;/

Having bought this with a replacement laptop for my daughter it was inexpensive insurance against catastrophe should a problem arise while she was getting used to the new equipment. I was impressed by the knowledge and help provided at the purchase of the new laptop by the Geek Squad tech’s and felt this would be really good as added protection should she need help with it during the learning curve.

This is a guarantee I always try to purchase if it makes sense with the item replacement cost. It took me two failed Chromebook to realize that with items that tend to break easily adding a Geek Squad guarantee will give you peace of mind. Because it is very likely that electronics will malfunction before we are ready for an upgrade.

I know geek squad service to be perfect that is why I got this for one of my computer last year. I am happy that so far I haven't had to need to get my warranty out but I know it works. That's why I insisted on paying the extra money for the protection right then and there that was no questions asked.

Bought a laptop for a kid, school purposes. Laptop stopped working for an unknown reason and this protection plan allowed me to walk into the store and do a product switch with very little questions. I buy it for all electronics now.

Haven't had to use the protection for my son's new laptop, but if I had to, I know BestBuy and the Geek Squad would make it right. I've had the protection on several other items, and it has come in handy before. With my active son, it might come in handy so I added it to the new laptop!

I almost never buy the extended warranty on anything. I had a hunch on this laptop. 1.5 years later, this came in very handy when my poorly designed 2 in 1 laptop hinge locked up and destroyed the screen. The repair turnaround was about 1 week. Thanks Geek Squad!

Being able to purchase the Geek Squad protection plan on an open box item was tremendous! The peace of mind that comes with this protection plan is well worth the additional cost!!

Good if needed and always a reassurance if something happens

I went in twice with a problem with my laptop. Both times the “geeks” took the time to answer my questions, explain to me and did not make me feel stupid. I really appreciated their help.

When I told them I didn't need the membership because my company has IT and it's a company computer, they didn't seem to want to take no for an answer. They kept sending new people to talk to me about why the membership will save me money in the long run, so I agreed to it. I don't need it and wish I didn't agree to give them $200 for the membership. Then I just needed them to install the newest Windows update, they didn't tell me that would cost me another $100 and it took them 4 or so days to install a Windows update.

I went to Best Buy because I cannot retrieve my laptop product key and the Geek Squad member Dani is helpful and courteous.
