I purchased Geek Squad Protection with my computer in 2019, I was hesitant because I always feel like I lose money when I get protection plans. Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago, I opened my laptop and the screen was spiderwebbed. I use my computer for school so it had to be fixed. I had anticipated having to pay something for the repair. I was charged nothing and told it was covered. Was a quick, friendly check-in and was emailed a link to watch the progress. I’m so glad I added it and I won’t second guess it again.

Luckily, I haven't had to use this protection yet, but having it gives me peace of mind just in case. The cost is worth the peace.

Not sure it was fully explained to me. After using it once I was told you can only use it 2x during 3-year period. I thought it was for unrestricted use if there was issues. Make sure you read small print.

I have reassurance in case something happens to my laptop, and Geek Squad has provided great support for my previous tech, making it a reliable resource.

They’re really nice and do a good job, they fixed what was wrong with my laptop

This a must for any gaming console. Especially for a launch console. Better safe than sorry. Also, if you can't live without your console for a day or so, this is a must.

I have not had to utilize this protection plan, although it was purchased.

The agent went to my house and check my house tv that was broken good thing a purchase the 5 year warranty and because it’s been discontinued already and they don’t have parts for it they gave me a store credit same amount that I purchased the tv and got me a big one instead thank you geek squad

This protection will save you a lot of headaches knowing you have no worries and take your product to the Geek Squad. They will work on your equipment and try their best to get it back to you the same day. I was happy with the work they did.

I needed to utilize this insurance due to a computer issue. Completely worth purchasing initially. Will be purchasing moving forward

MY DISHWASHER BROKE...BOUGHT IT FROM BESTBUY ALONG WITH THIS EXTENDED WARRANTY....I ONLY HAD 10 DAYS LEFT ON MY 4YR PLAN...CALLED THEM UP...THEY HAD A REPAIRGUY OUT TO MY HOUSE WITHIN 2 DAYS...THEY UNISTALLED DISHWASHER,REPLACED THE PUMP ASSEMBLY,AND RE-INSTALLED IT FREE OF CHARGE...AWESOME

I sent my device in twice to get repaired but both times they only did a partial job of fixing my computer. The first time I needed my computer back since I didn’t have time to send it back in again after waiting 6 weeks to get it back since I needed it for my work and studies but the problem was that after having the keyboard replaced the D key on the new keyboard popped out within less than a month but I was not going to send it back to get repaired for that long with the other issue since I urgently needed my computer in whatever shape or form it was in. The second time I sent it in to fix the keyboard issue along with the previous issue but when I received it back after 2 weeks they fixed only the keyboard issue even though I specifically mentioned that they forgot to do it the time before. I asked them to send it back in due to a partial repair despite needing my computer since I’d rather not have to come back a third time for the same issue they missed twice and have currently waited 20 days since the last update on the current status of my computer. Hopefully they’ll either successfully repair the issue or find some other way to resolve this ongoing incident.

I bought the accident protection because we have ceramic tile floors, one slip and its a goner. The protection gives me piece of mind and is a great value.

I find this service to be a life saver everytime I get in a jam. Mostly use the online service to solve my problems. I have not found them unable to help me. The only problem is when I try to use the store now that we have Covid-19 issues. No it is not cheap but it keeps me from running to some store and leaving the computer to be picked up later. So I am keeping it in place unless I reduce myself to one new computer under warrenty and if I buy it at Best Buy at Christmas I get free Geek Squad service, or that is what it was two years ago.

Worth the money, they are always helpful when I have questions. Also, the accident forgiveness and all possible solutions they offer is worth the money. It is 100% a good idea to get protection on items because you never know when something is going to break or crap out. I literally break everything

Thankfully this extra warranty was/is available for Chromebooks & laptops for children who are doing their schoolwork from home occasionally & won’t have to bring a school Chromebook home (too small, responsible for replacing if broken, etc). Accidental damage protection is a must for anything I order due to multiple children fighting over everything & ADHD senses ending up breaking too many things. Luckily this covers accidental damage & spills!
