Always use the protection pricing plans offered. I truly have never had to use it but once. I have however needed it and forgot to purchase it and that sucked.

I recommend getting the warranty. My little one cracked the screen on my laptop and it was covered by the warranty for repair. Really grateful that I didn’t have to spend extra money on getting it fixed.
