3 year accidental geek squad protection, you need it kids

With the cost of products I like the security of having the Geek Squad coverage and protection. I have used it 3 times now.

Always get insurance qith electronics. It will always come in handy. As well as installations for stereos.

We got this plan to protect our son’s Chromebook, but failed to read the T&C - this is not anything like AC+ or other ADH plans. If they replace your broken laptop, you no longer have coverage after that (you must buy yet another plan). In addition, they only have obligation to provide credit up to the original purchase price+tax of the device itself. In our case, the cost of the laptop he had went up, and wasn’t even in stock. We had to pay over $100 out of pocket for something comparable. Additionally, they could have done this whole process remotely, but instead, they force you to make Geek Squad appointments and go into the store, just to get a store credit? Not to mention it took two weeks for them to come back and say we were getting a credit rather than a laptop repair, because Lenovo. I’m glad we had it, but all things considered, we would have been MUCH better off going with a third party. So thats what I would recommend for anyone else. Don’t waste your money on something that’s NOT ACTUALLY 2-year coverage if you end up having to use it.

Good to have. It took no time to get my last laptop repaired. Easy process to navigate. Geek Squad inside Best Buy Peoria is top notch.

My son will have his computer for the next three years in college and not have to worry about having to replace it with this production

Bought this for my mom when I purchased her laptop even though she doesn't believe in purchasing additional insurance.

I normally don't by the protection plans but I have been saved so many times by this thing and it's easy. Barely any questions asked and boom I have a replacement.

Be warned this doesnt cover if there is a software malfunction on your computer, they will try and sell you the total tech coverage which is an additional $199. My laptop is a game software and windows 10 was overriding an update that the computer needed and they wanted to charge me for it after i had the geek squad protection. I was not happy need less to say after almost an hour my laptop was fixed and I didnt have to pay anything.

This laptop isn't cheap. So it’s best to have a service policy for repairs or replacement when things go bad.

When buying expensive electronics I need to have extra protection.
