I have purchased a few laptops from Best Buy over the last few decades and I am such of huge fan of their purchase options and their Geek Squad support. I am a die-hard Geek Squad fan, they are so professional and efficient. Everyone should be buying their computers at Best Buy. You really can't go wrong.

I never thought the computer I bought for a summer class would start giving me problems less then 2 months into using it. Granted it was a new product so it was bound to have some problems. Having Geek Squad production plan helped me to get nearly $1700 back to me in a form of BestBuy gift card. I was able to use that money and buy accessories for my camera I had just purchased a little before my computer for the fall semester. I worked out for me because I was about to struggle through the last 4 weeks of class and then got to get my money back and spend it on stuff I needed for school right after. I felt like Geek Squad really helped me save a lot of money with their 2 year protection plan.

Geek squad is beyond amazing. I know that it's hard to see the value in protection plans. We live in a world of insurance scams. I must say though, Geek squad really takes care of you. If there are any problems they are quick to either exchange your item or ship it out at no cost to get fixed. It's truly peace of mind, knowing that when you buy a product someone has your back.

Always useful for unexpected damage or repair. Much needed

Accidently damaged the screen on my gaming laptop and had to send it in for repairs. Scheduling the appointment was not a big deal, my issue with the process was Best Buy not allowing me to ship my laptop to them directly (I currently live 4 hours away from the nearest best buy). I had to ship my laptop to a friend and have them take it to best buy for me, which was inconvenient.

The comprehensive coverage on the Geek Squad Accidental Damage is excellent! I've purchased it on a couple of laptops (one for a teen) and when we needed it, they turned the repair around quickly. Definitely worth it!

Employees were very helpful and knowledgeable about the products inside. Although I did not find exactly what I wanted employees gave me several options and I felt like I walked away with a better understanding of the electronic components I was looking for

This was purchased for a HP laptop I have. Bare in mind it covers HARDWARE (screen hinge, keys breaking, the physical parts) not SOFTWARE. Long story short I did a fresh install of Windows 11 (yeah that’s a issue in itself) but for whatever reason they drivers for the Wi-Fi didn’t work, not allowing me to go online. Which is weird. Modern laptops no longer has a Ethernet port, so I brought the laptop to BestBuy. The gentleman was nice enough to download said drivers and all is fine. He really didn’t have to do that, as it’s not a hardware issue. But he did and I am grateful. No complaints.

Decisions, decisions, decisions well overall I knew I had either a choice for my big purchase for Geek Squad assistant or for warranty for one year. Well I decided to get Geek Squad for several reasons. Here's a few of them Geek Squad is the foundation of me setting up my laptop. Before I have to worry about dropping it or having it get water spilled on it I feel I need definitely tech support much more times that I will need to worry about a warranty knock on wood! They really helped me coming out the gate to work with my laptop immediately! I'm very happy with the service I'm very happy on how fast they worked and their professionalism! This was definitely worth my money!

Geek Squad has always honored the warranty on the faulty products I've bought from Best Buy even though there were very few Best Buy products that have failed on me.

I got the three year deal when I bought my last computer. I buy all my electronics, tv, sound systems, computers, software, etc. from Best Buy because they always have the latest technology at a competitive price but service after the sale is key because I am not techy in any way. I just enjoy it. Geek Squad definitely is the key to Best Buy products working for you. If you need help setting something up, installing something, troubleshooting, etc. they are there ready to help you however you need it. Bringing Geek Squad inside the BEST BUY business model was genius. Sets BEST BUY apart from every other electronics store. Get the three year deal. You will never look back and renew it every chance you get.

Definitely worth the money in case anything ever goes wrong.

Though I didn't really need and use it, I'm glad I had the protection for just in case.

Every time, I have trouble with software or don't know how to update my laptop, Regardless of the problem, maybe Geek Squad always has great customer service.

I never buy electronics without investing in additional protection. The product protection is great for those unexpected mishaps. I have used it a few times with Best Buy, and I was so glad that I had it. I do advise that people pay attention to the value of the coverage offered. Though the protection may cover a certain amount of time, the coverage will not exceed a certain dollar amount. I reached the eligible dollar amount for repairs under my coverage prior to the end of my 2 year period and received a friendly email that the product was no longer covered under the protection plan. Considering that I had used it twice, I believe it was worth the money.

Luckily, I haven't had to use this protection yet, but having it gives me peace of mind just in case. The cost is worth the peace.

Bought a laptop, they sent it with OnTrac, and I was home all day waiting for the package, but no one rang the bell. I kept checking on the tracking and it said out for delivery, so I kept waiting, until midnight it still shows out for delivery, so I waited until the next day, still nothing came. I contacted customer service, they told me it was delivered yesterday and showed me a picture of the package sitting wide open on my patio stairs, go figure. 2 months later, the tracking on the site still shows out for delivery. They refused to refund, but also canceled the subscription stuff that came with the laptop, like what? Nothing I can do. Shame business, don't buy from them ever again!

Great protects your computer from a lot amazing deal

I got this for my son's school Chromebook. His first one broke while in a padded and hardcase/shell just from falling off a desk. We used this service and got a decent amount back towards a new one. Did take over a week to get analysis completed and get my refund, so that was a challenge. It ouke be noce if BestBuy figured out how to speed that up.

Always helpful whenever I come in and fix any issues. Great if you’re a clumsy person like me.
