I have not had to use it yet. But I have in the past and Best Buy is great with their coverage on items.

I purchased this when I purchased my laptop thinking I was covered if I needed assistance with anything. Boy was I wrong. I purchased dual screens to connect to the laptop and kept getting a "no power" message. I took the dual monitors and the laptop in to get assistance just to make sure it wasn't the laptop which I JUST purchased from them and was told I had to pay $40.00 for them to help me. Long story short, I was told that what I paid for only covered things such as the laptop not working, damaged etc. and even then, if it had to be sent out, it could take weeks to get it back. The technician still tried to help but his attitude said he didn't want to. Then he suggested that I purchase a power block with at least 40 watts, I purchased a power block at 60 watts and still have no resolution. I'm considering cancelling, it's just not worth it if I can't get simple assistance.

i bought geek squad service protection for my latest purchase and its amazing to know that I'm covered from a multitude of issues.

With Geek Squad I don't have to worry if something happens to my computer. They can help me online as well.

Call and asked a few questions about the product and received the help I needed and also advise on things I could do better and more efficiently.

good protection so far I have not had to use it but it give me peace of mind to know i have if i need it to repair or replace my laptop.
