I would recommend purchasing a protection plan when offered. You never know when issues will arise and it does save you money. I purchased the plan for my laptop and it saved me from having to buy another power cord.

I got the 2 year protection plan on my new laptop seeing that my old one broke. I have already had to use the plan and the process was very smooth.

I always get the Best Buy warranty for expensive purchases. They honor what they say they are going to cover and as a matter of fact there have been quite a few instances that I had my products replaced with a NEW product instead of repairs (easier to replace than repair).

Have had too many mishaps with laptops and hope this one isn't as use service as most. Geek squad has always been a good source for my husbands iphone.

They fix it if it’s broken, but takes a while to come back and the shipping is bad and the box was heavily damaged
