Read the fine print. If they decide, at their discretion, to replace the covered item, rather than repair it, they will issue you a store credit for the amount of the original purchase. However, the fine print states that in that case, their obligations for the extended waranty ar3 fully satisfied. Meaning, while you will get a store credit to buy a new device, your new device will not have the extended waranty. If you want that, you will need to pay for it again again. Basically in my case, i prepaid $309 to allow me to return my defective machine after the return period expired. I have a new machine, but i have no extended waranty, and less storage due to pricing and feature differences for in stock items. The terms stated in the simplified description are misleading and i do not recommend this service.

I only wish I had purchased this protection prior to smashing my computer in an accident. Never again!

It's a good cheap screen to scroll on the interwebs. Can't run games really and a little slow, but basic use is totally fine.

You'd be ridiculous not to get the extended warranties that Best buy gives for some products it's totally worth it for others not so worth it.

Honestly I usually dont buy protection plans, but after dropping my last laptop, i know better now . Good price, not too expensive

I always buy the protection plan, for everything that I purchase. The plan has always been useful, if we have any issues with a product that I purchase.

Better safe then sorry , gives you peace of mind for worst case scenarios.

I have experienced warranty issues once and the result was quickly and I am very impressed with the great service all the times when I call or visit the store.

The people in lynchburg are straight forward with you. if they know they can do it but also know it will cost you way more then the computer is worth, they will tell you and recommend someplace.

Got such a great deal on the computer it was stupid not to get this plan. Have had good luck with their policy claims in the past so I don’t expect issues

Wouldn't want to spend this much on a laptop without buying an extended warranty, especially with my son is carting it around the college campus.

Alway buy the protection. Have used it and it’s a great peace of mind. You want regret it unless you don’t get and then need it. Then you will be sorry.

I got 3 microsoft surface pro laptops from BestBuy and i got all of them GeekSquad protection. Good to have this for peace of mind.
