bought these awesome blink cameras and battery life called for almost 2 years talked me into getting the squad service. great thing i did because one camera needed help it would charge brought it to the squard as a walk in and the dude fixed it right away no hassle no wait time and wasvery knowledgeable greta job

In general, Geek squad does a good job replacing a product. However, with items such as a multi-camera security system, if just ONE camera fails, Best Buy requires that you bring in the ENTIRE system for replacement. I don't have to say how inconvenient it is to be forced to remove ALL cameras, which in my case, there are TWELVE, along with the dvr, only to have to reinstall new ones later. One other complaint, is that once you replace your product, Best Buy cancels your plan, as opposed to switching the plan over to the replacement, which would honor the duration of the coverage. This means that if you purchased a 4 year plan and after 6 months, your product fails, instead of honoring the remaining 3 1/2 years by applying it to the new replacement, you are forced to purchased a brand new plan. So, if you cover the new one, you will have now basically paid for TWO plans for ONE product. This makes the Geek Squad plan worthless and costly, since the manufacturer's warranty would've covered the cost WITHOUT the additional coverage. Hopefully Best Best can make some adjustments to their replacement policy.

I once bought a doorbell cam, & it lasted just past the 1 year manufacture warranty, I won’t make this mistake again, my son used to work for Geek Squad & he highly recommends this because Best Buy will honor it

I have use the Geek Squad service a couple of time and each time they are very helpful. The Replacement service is a must if you are going to purchase any technology. I had a Fitbit Charge they got a chip in the back of it and BestBuy offered me either a full refund since this item was no longer available.

15 months goes by and I had to use my Geek Squad service warranty and I'm glad I purchased it cause with inflation and all the prices that are so high it saved me at a time when I'm so thankful I purchased it. Thanks Best buy !!!

Geek squad protect is good for backup in case something happens

I had purchased Best Buy's 4-Yr GSP (Geek Squad Protection) for my Lenovo Smart Clock 2 with Wireless Charging Dock in Heather Grey. When it comes to issue(s) whether it be mechanical, electrical, or accidental spill, GSP covers it and it's always a no hassle process.

Makes a great product even better. This was offered at a reasonable price and I feel better knowing that if one of my security cameras goes down …. Geek Squad to the rescue !

As long as I'm buying anything of considerable value, I will always get the geek squad replacement plan. I don't care if it's an extra $300-$500. It's worth it to protect my investments. The associates at the geek squad are so nice and professional and it really is a good value for the money.
