Honestly these things are only great when you need them. When you don't, you feel like you wasted money. However, there have been times when I NEEDED it and it came in handy.

Thankfully, I have never had to use these additions for my purchases. Decades ago, I did use the Geek Squad protection plan for a laptop I purchased. The free battery included with the plan (after the battery included with laptop died) was well worth the extra money spent on the plan. In my interactions with Geek Squad, I found them to be competent, friendly, professional, and easy to utilize. The good thing about BB is that every purchase you make is logged online, so there is less need to keep up with those frivolous papers that show what you purchased and when. I recommend if your purchase is more than a hundred or so bucks. It’s better to have and not need than need and not have.

It nice to have a piece of mind knowing that you don't have to worry about a product going bad for a couples of years.

Geek Squad did a fast and efficient job of installing and setting up my TV. I was less than impressed when I called for help. I was told they're not engineers.
