had to use the warranty because I returned an item 1 day past the 15 normal return date. Even thou the item was not working fine, it was the only option other than send in for repair and having to wait 4-6 weeks for it to come back. $15 worth the 6 weeks wait, but warning everyone to learn the return policies for the various level of bestbuy programs.

If you buy this MAKE SUREyou get the warranty! I have taken it back 3 times because it stopped working. The third time i got ny money back thanks to the warranty.

Besides being noisy it did not last 2 months. On top of this Best Buy will only give you a gift card for the amount of the ice maker and you just donated the money for the extended warranty to them. Even thought it was still under the manufacturers warranty. Not happy with the gift card since I paid for this item wit cash or credit card. I would prefer cash back or credit on my credit card.

Plan is a bit pricey, however I feel it was needed.

Bought a 4 year plan. The ice maker broke in 4 months and I was told that this exchange would complete the 4 year plan and I would need to buy another. Even better the exchanges machine was factory sealed and used when I opened it up. The geek squad tech ordered a replacement and said again that the plan I just bought would need to be bought again. Unbelievable.

Doesn't produce enough ice, but work fine. Not against Best buy but wouldn't recommend product

Horrible part door shelves keep breaking and they claim you gotta pay extra very slow at making ice drawer could have been made better I will never buy this brand in the future

Never buy a geek squad warranty. If they can not replace the product and it is no longer sold by their store, they only give you an in store credit. Even though that product is still available to buy elsewhere.

Produces ice, however, makes a hedious sqreeching noise during operation. Researching youtube this is not normal operation. Have to return for a replacement.

Garbage. Support for the 'protection' is non-existent and should just replace the damaged item when brought in, not make you wait months for a repair that they don't even do before crediting you back what you paid as opposed to replacing it.

They will not honor or fix your item. They will send you to a call center in Asia. I can hardly understand. Tell you to drop off a refrigerator in a car. That is their only solution. I was on the phone all day.

Ive had nothing but problems with this thing. When I bought it it worked fine, then a few mo ths down the road it started making a high pitched sqeeling noise; got that figured out and now we are dealing with what im assuming is a mold issue even though I use the cleaning cycle weekly theres always black sooty looking stuff on the walls on the water reservoir.

Had this item for bately 6 months and it stopped pumping water. Called ge tech support and was told several times to send pictures or to do weekly maintenance which i was already doing. Now it has stopped working completely ! For the amountsof money i paid and for it to last a year is terrible. Would not recommend this

they are not that helpful.. always in a hurry to rush me out the store and go on to the next customer.. you might as well figure out the problem yourself.

Cheap mini fridge, good for a dorm maybe but it broke two years after i purchased it. Just long enough to outlast the the extra warranty by two months

Purchased a 4 year warranty had issue with ice machine less then a year so had to return I was told I would be covered 4 years even if I had to replace it that warranty would carry over. It didn’t I was lied to that I would have to purchase warranty again

Will never buy again sales person sold it to me said if anything happens bring it back my son broke it and then it was oh no accidental damage but when I said I had an autistic son the sales a person said I definitely should get it it covers anything
