An Excellent Office Projector – A Good Home Projec

This is my first experience with a more pricy projector; I've tried the cheapos that cost between $100 and $200. This one from Epson is so much nicer of a product. The quality and brightness of the image are way beyond what those types of projectors are capable of. This projector is WXGA resolution (1280x800), which is very close to 720p. Many projectors on the market are deceptive about their resolution. They will include 4K and 1080p in the product description because they are capable of receiving a signal at that resolution but are unable to display it. This one can natively display the above-mentioned resolution. This thing has an excellent 16,000:1 contrast ratio, and this is basically the difference between the blacks and whites that it is capable of displaying. It supports 100% of the sRGB color space and looks excellent, and the colors are exceptionally vivid and bright. There is no kind of HDR10 or Dolby Vision features here, though. To be honest, this projector is aimed more at businesses than at people wanting to watch movies at home. It will work fine for that, but you would probably do better to pick another model if you're going to watch Netflix with this at home. The speaker is mono, but it does sound quite good. There is a sliding door in front of the lens, and you should always close it when you are not using it. The fan inside can get a little loud, about like a laptop when playing a game or rendering a video. But the speaker can definitely compensate for it. Another vital thing to note, if that is your intended use for this, you will need an additional device like a Fire TV stick or Apple TV box. There is no operating system to speak of on this projector, it has a settings menu that lets you adjust many things like zooming and vertical and horizontal keystone, but no way to run apps or download them. There is one HDMI port, one VGA port, and one Composite video RCA jack with stereo audio. There are two USB ports, one type A and one type B. I don't think it can play videos from a flash drive, and this is for updating the firmware or connecting a computer. It has a range of 33'' up to 320", just keep in mind two things- 1) the larger the image is on the wall, the less sharp it will be, and 2) to get the largest picture, the projector is going to have to be pretty far from the wall. There is the option to zoom in by 1.3X, as well as zoom out. This is great for giving a presentation and allowing you to zoom in on a particular slide. The auto keystone feature of this projector is really awesome. It will fix any kind of distortion that occurs from the projector being slightly off or at an angle. You can also go into the settings and adjust them manually. There is a button on the projector itself dedicated to this. There is optical zoom and manual focus dials that are just behind the lens. These are also really useful at dialing in your picture to help it look the best that it can. There is a carrying case included. It looks to be pretty sturdy. Remote plus batteries are also included in the box, and I prefer using the remote over the buttons that are on the top of the projector. Overall, this product is easy to use, and it's not tricky navigating the menu or setting it up. The Bulb inside the projector is rated for 6,000 hours in normal mode and 12,000 hours in Eco mode. I like this projector and recommend it for anyone who needs one for work, or both work and home. I'm not sure this would be the best model to get if you only intend to watch videos on it like a TV. You could probably get something with better features for the same price if that is your intention. Like full HD/4K or HDR 10/Dolby Vision support or maybe multiple HDMI ports. That said, this is a very high-quality and solid projector that looks beautiful and gets very bright! This is a review for the Epson Pro EX-7280 Projector that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

    Great Features!

First, upon taking it out of the box I was quite pleased with the size. It’s compact (just the right size) and not too big or too small. Also, it’s very light weight. I used this particular one indoors in the family room. The set up process was fairly easy which is a plus, because I’m not very tech savvy when it comes to some electronics. Once it was finally set up I was happy with the color and image projected on the screen. The colors were vibrant and the image was very clear. I think what I liked the most is that I could use this projector with and without the lights on. Prior projectors that I’ve had did not show very well with the lights on. They kind of reminded me of the old school overheads and projectors from elementary school. This one was 1 million times better. Also, I was able to enhance my viewing experience with the included audio jack. By adding my own speakers (surround sound) I actually created a theatre like experience. The projector wasn’t noisy at all. It was fairly low and quiet. Although some settings made the fan noise a little louder, but not to the point of it being bothersome. I was able to use my fire stick as well as Roku with it. It worked great and I’m satisfied. This is a review for the Epson Home Cinema 880 1080p projector that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

    Movies Outside!

When I received my LG Projector I was so excited! Some of my favorite activities are spending time outside and watching movies, now I got to do both AND I got to pick the movie too ;). The projector is super lightweight and easy to transport. The volume is a good level, and it's a big plus that I can connect my Bluetooth speaker to the projector so that a bigger group can hear the movie being projected. The remote is very convenient and easy to use, but there are buttons on the projector if you don't feel like bringing the remote with you. So far I've watched Home Again and Spongebob episodes on the projector, and it just makes the experience of watching so much more fun :).

Nice brightness but big pixels are still a problem

I bought this projector based on the promise of great clarity due to its main feature, the "Laser light source". I didn't care much for the streaming device because I was going to connect it to my home theater computer instead, which does all my streaming for me. And even though it did deliver in terms of brightness even in light room, I was disappointed in the poor picture quality inherent on most Epson brand projectors, which I had hoped it wouldn't be a problem with this model, but it was. Even though I have to deal with having to see those huge pixels, unless I reduce the image to less than 100" diagonally. The brightness is nice enough to make me want to keep it.

Great little projector, it has Wi-Fi and basic YouTube, but you can just connect a stream devices such as a amazon fire stick or apple TV etc. This projector also has USB and SD so you can play video from different sources, I bought it for my adult son who has Autism also the price is great.

Overall, this projector offers excellent value for its price. It's suitable for everyday use, as it works effortlessly out of the box and provides many features typically found in more expensive models, but without the added complexities. I am particularly impressed with its connectivity options and overall performance.

Amazing projector for the price. Great for beginners and advanced projectors users, this model works right out of the box and can do a lot of what more expensive and advanced projectors can do without a lot of the headache that can come with added features.

I never buy a computer, tv, or any other major expense without Geek Squad protection. It has "NEVER" failed me. I have shopped with Best Buy for around 25 years and this service is the best coming and going. Thanks Best Buy.

    Not great for movies

You get what you pay for. This projector didn't have very sharp focus and the detail was slightly blurry. Also, it had to be completely dark for us to see anything from more that 6' away. I wish I had spent a little more and gotten a higher quality product

Audio: Audio clips and distorts at high volume, the soundbar does it's best but for $300 less I could buy an Epson EF 11 which is this exact product *without* the Yamaha speakers, buy a Harmon Kardon speaker for cheaper and better quality, and be at or near the same price! Video: The software doesn't support Netflix or Prime Video, so if those are your preferred streaming platforms you'll need to use a Fire Stick. If you use a Fire Stick you are restricted to 720p video. If you attempt to stream at a higher video quality the frame rate will drop and audio will go out of sync. You'll also have to use two remotes as the firestick remote will not control the built-in speakers volume.

Bought this product in July and decided to use it in October for the 1st time and it didn't work. Best Buy will not exchange it or give refund because it's over its warranty period. So i contact the company and they will not stand behind their product so it was a loss to me all the way around. I will never purchase any of their products.

Does not connect wirelessly to IPhone, Samsung Tablet, nor laptop. Would at least Bluetooth to soundbar and sun. The app it wants you to use isn’t even available, flags as unavailable in the US Extremely disappointed. Sending it back immediately.
