This is still the best warranty for electronics, etc. The no-hassle replacement has always been bar none, however, they did change this and now will refund you the amount you paid. This worked out in my favor bc the replacement, a different brand, was on sale and I had a little extra for something else. This is THE reason I choose BestBuy.

After our Central AC failed we needed to cool our bedroom, first purchased a cheap 5000BTU Midea, then a nicer LG (which on sale was $50 more than this unit), returned both because they both short cycled once the temperature was below 70C inside or 75C outside... Finally got this unit and never looked back, will be going to GE directly in the future because this thing is a tank. It doesn't care what temperature it is inside or outside, it just works. It can put out a massive amount of air, on medium it puts out more air than the other units I had on high, and it gets so cold, you can't stand in front of it. We use a thermostat controlled remote power switch, and this thing is capable keeping the room at 64C all day long. Generally it never runs for more than 5 minutes at a time in our 300sf bedroom at 67C. AWESOME! For the price this is a no brainer, get it, hang, set the temp and forget about it, it will just work!

Its the purchase you hope you won't have to use while owning a product... and I didn't. So I can't attest to how well it works, but I like knowing I have an backup for if things go wrong.

I recently purchased another air conditioner and returned the old one to the store. Geek Squad handled the return professionally and issued store credit without any hassle, which made ordering the new unit online quick and simple. The in-store team was helpful, and the entire process went more smoothly than I expected. I really appreciated the support, especially during this heat wave. I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 only because I had to arrange my own transportation, and I was informed that this type of product doesn’t qualify for certain in-home services. Otherwise, very satisfied!

2-Year Standard Geek Squad Protection was the best way to protect my laptop

Best Buy will Honor their protection plans I had to do a claim using it. I had no problems getting my Air-conditioner Replaced at no charge just had to purchase a new protection plan

This is a good source for cooling off you home… the only downside would be when the pan on the bottom fills with water. There should be a way to empty the water without having to move the unit outside or where ever you decide to dump it.

The service was excellent. The technician was very polite and helpful in explaining what was being and done. A true professional!

Overall, this is a quiet and good looking AC. The exhaust tube in the room did get hot, like 120 degrees. I added a cool-aide and that took care of it. The machine is efficient and I love it.

Tv was broken they mad it easy to get a new one the next day. They even came to house

I bought this unit last year and has worked great and kept my small RV nice and cold, but this year it has not been cooling the way it was when i fisrt bought it. My Rav is not as cold as it used to be and im having to keep it at ots lowest temp to keep it some what cool in here. I regularly clean out the filter and have done all the checks on troubleshooting. I bought the extended warranty but i dont know how to go about to see what best buy can do for this unit

We bought the extra warranty for this a/c unit. We had to learn the hard way. We bought a portable a/c unit from Amazon and it stopped working 2 days after the Amazon return date and the seller was no hope even though it had a 1 year warranty. Now we have the comfort knowing that Best Buy will take care of any warranty issues.

We just installed this unit one day ago and already very pleased with how quiet it is especially in low speed. Fairly simple to install with a good manual and online videos. The Clearview feature and quietness alone are worth the five stars!

Although i’ve been told only a sucker buys an extended warranty or protectiob beyond what is offered by the manufacturer. And let me tell you how glaf i am that I ignored that bad advice.atThe day before mt Grek Squad Protection Plan was set to expire, and a year after the ManuWarranty expired, I went in (by appointment) to have BB honor the geek squaf protection plan and it went better than hoped . AC not working/condenser had gone out on a portable AC,they said since they no longer carry that item they would refund my entire purchase including the geek squad protection plan. i was able to buy an even better replacement AC Wow!!! Even had enough left over to but a new tv i found on “Deal of the Day “online Win/Win!
