Best Buy's "Geek Squad" is very too expensive on all products. It wasn't always like that. A decade ago, it made sense to buy insurance at Best Buy. It is no longer like that. You can buy a "4-Year Insurance" from other stores such as Amazon for the same price as what Best Buy charges for a "2-Year Insurance." There is simply no doubt Best Buy overcharges on insurance. As a result, I no longer buy from Best Buy regarding major appliances and electronics. Plus, the Geek Squad insurance is outright terrible. I bought a 61" TV and the entire lower corner of the TV had a green spot on it. Literally 25% of the TV was constantly green at all times. But the Geek Squad person that game to my home said this was acceptable and forced me to keep that defective TV set. Best Buy also recently refused to honor their service on a large 75" TV I bought. I talked to the Geek Squad and even "corporate" when I talked to an incredibly rude woman named "Helena." I will never buy any form of product at Best Buy ever again after this terrible treatment from Best Buy.

I 1st had declined to purchase the replacement plan. The sales person convinced me and I ended up purchasing it for my 2 monitors. He said it covered absolutely everything. When I got home one of the monitors had a cracked screen and I went back to the store a few days later and they declined to replace it. I asked to speak to the sales person They said he was not there. I asked to speak to the manager and he said there is a lot of seasonal staff and he probably was not aware crakes screens are not covered. He said he couldn’t help me because the person was not working there anymore. At the end I had to take back my new screen with a crack. Total loss and replacement plan was waste of money.

I SUGGEST GETTING IF U GET AN EXPENSIVE ITEM U WANT TO GET FIXED OR REPLACED.

Computer died on me once this made it doable for repairs for the whole setup.

The agent was very helpful and informative to my needs and concerns
