Been using this for over a year now. The picture quality it can achieve is great, but the software is frustratingly slow, tedious, and glitchy. The monitor's remote has buttons for 4 different streaming services...but no button to change input. Too many extra features like this while missing or complicating basic ones. In 2026 you can find better for $350+. Only worth considerating on deep sale and for connecting a single device.

Was offerred this by an associate who was an incredible sales person. It was for an open box 1300 dollar OLED..he didnt have to try hard. Lol.

This product provides great value in the event that your item goes defective. It has already saved me on my $1000+ purchase last year!

Geek squad protection is great for an extra year of protection on select devices purchased at Best Buy! However purchasing My Best Buy Total will apply GSP to the same select units under the one time purchase of $180 for a full year.

Excellent warranty and service service for any product bought at Best Buy, totally recommended.

I had issues with my monitor just months before the expiration of my replacement plan, my monitor was no longer in production so they gave me store credit for a new one. Very fast and smooth replacement definitely worth it.

If I am going to get a computer. I know there will come a time I need it tweaked or fixed. So getting The Geek Squad onboard if you buy at Best Buy is a great idea. They do good work in a timely fashion.

Ok, I know that insurance is a suckers bet, but, having insurance cover everything from a new transmission for my "legendary" Toyota to the new shingles on my house from those guys that "know a thing or two..."-- insurance just always seems to pay off for me. At the very least-- this agreement gives me peace of mind... although I now find myself scanning my 5K LG from corner to corner looking for that first pixel that blacks out.

I have been purchasing the Geek Squad Product replacement plan on more things these days and this time it saved me. I broke the plastic tabs trying to install the stand on my Samsung 28" 4K monitor. I took it in and they gave me a brand-new monitor. But here was the problem. The monitor was only 3 months old, so I had to buy another Geek Squad replacement plan to protect a basically brand new monitor for another 4 years. Oh well, just to keep that in miind when you buy something and add the protection plan.

I had ti use this extended warranty because my 2 year old monitor started making a buzzing sound.

Have not needed to use it for this production. The price is worth the peace of mind incase item needs replaced or has issues. Have used protection plan a phone which got me a full replacement but was expensive shipping, but was still cheaper than buying a brand new phone.

Havent had to use it as of yet, hopefully wont need to.

Good to have if something happens to the device(s) you have purchased.

I had a very poor experience with Asurion, the extended warranty thru Office Depot after purchasing a new laptop a few years ago. I no longer want to deal with a "faceless" entity for warranty issues/problems. I want a PLACE to go and a HUMAN to speak with. After researching my options (which there are not many), I decided to purchase my new laptop with Best Buy and purchase the additional Geek Squad warranty. I hope all goes well with this, and I believe it will b/c I will have a person and place to hold accountable, instead of a 1-800 number and a website.

Geek squad has always been great. Have used them for years. Techs arrived on time and were fast and efficient at installing the new big screen. Connected everything to the WiFi network and synched up all the remote controls. Explained everything and cleaned up before leaving. Very satisfied and will use them again.

Most companies make you register products after purchase (but neglect to tell you that!?!?) or have you deal with an 800 number that takes you to a company that ... who knows who it is, what they do, or what their customer service ranking is. Not so with Best Buy Protection! If you have an issue you bring it into the store (any store), show them your paperwork, explain what happened and get a replacement OR a full "credit" towards the purchase of a new device. Like I said, "For heavily used devices, we ALWAYS buy the protection"!
