Where the monitor screen made contact with items on the desk there were multi-color lines on the screen. The geek squad replacement protection would replace the new monitor if it were to happen again.

I had the misfortune of having 2 things break but luckily I had the geek squad protection, bring broken item to store, have them repair or replace, easy peasy.

Glad I did because when the thing was acting strange I didn't rush to the store to replace it. Turns out it has some glitches when attached to my old Mac. My new laptop powers it flawlessly. Worth it? Maybe not. But it gave me some peace of mind.
