Seems like a reasonable buy for an expensive item such as the refrigerator I just purchased. The length of the manufacturer's warranty didn't exactly fill me with confidence, so I shelled out the extra money to purchase the 4-year replacement policy. As they say, they don't make 'em like they used to!

I have been putting off buying new curved monitor i saw this LG online with best buy i had been researching witch brand to purchase took me three years before i found one i wanted and the price that was within my budget build it was on sale i had been looking at Samsung but way pricey time well tell if i made the right choice for sure i must say that the sales personal have been much better trained and very courteous to me and very helpful went beyond to make sure i got needed so far very happy

I love Geek Squad, makes everything smooth. I've replaced phones multiple times, I have a warranty on my monitor and when the first one failed they replaced it immediately. They've always been friendly and eager to help, always being thorough explaining the why's and when's of how their warranties work.

I went to Best Buy because I was having issues with my monitor. They gave me store credit, and I was able to purchase a new monitor without any hassle. The whole process was smooth, and I really appreciated the helpful service. I would definitely recommend them.

If you are buying anything electronic wise I would highly recommend getting the 4 year Geek Squad protection. I have purchased this a few times and on two occastions I have needed it after a couple years. Having Geek Squad protection means you get to replace what ever is broke with either the same product or you can get instore credit of what you spent on the item you purchased and buy either a replacement close to what you bought or buy something completely different. Its a win win!

The Best Buy Geek Squad Protection Plan for my laptop gave me solid peace of mind. It covers accidental damage and hardware issues beyond the manufacturer warranty. Service was straightforward and convenient. It can feel expensive upfront, but for a costly laptop, the added protection is reassuring and worthwhile overall.

Back in the day i bought one of those furniture sets from Rooms to.go that came wity a tv. Well they gave you a gift card essentially. And i got a tv that was covered in full by the gift card. I think i paid $50 for the warranty coverage. I have that tv for 60 days short of the warranty and it died. BB tried to repair it and it worked for loke 24 hrs and then they replaced for the value. After that experience, any large purchase i get the warranty.

Its great knowing I have a back up plan if something goes wrong with my expensive items.

I am always getting protective coverage for my stuff. Easy to get it repaired but I will say the updates are lacking

If you’re accident prone like me this is a MUST! If you’re making a big purchase with anything always make sure you get the warranty or some sort of protection to protect your equipment

Here's the short version: according to the store manager of where I'd bought my monitors, this warranty does not cover any physical damage of monitors or TVs. Additionally, it runs concurrently with the manufacturers warranty. Here's the long version: To be clear, the only reason this isn't a 1-star is because of the store manager openly acknowledging the issues of this warranty plan and issuing a refund for it. Now, on to the story. I bought 3 monitors from Best Buy in in March 2023 with 1-year manufacturer warranties and this 4-year geek squad extended warranty. In April 2024 one of the monitors had an accident, causing the display to crack, but no external damage (you could run your fingers along it, even at the shatter point, and there was no damage). So, I hopped on here to pursue the warranty information and was told by Live chat support that the damage was covered and that I only needed to take it into the store. Got to the store and the technician that was assisting me couldn't make heads nor tails of the options in the system for the warranty. He asked two other employees, but none of them had ever seen this warranty in the system before. Queue the store manager being called in. She recognized it right away and explained that the warranty plan for monitors and TVs does not cover any physical damage. I had I chime in at that point. I don't do electrical work anymore, but I know it is physically impossible for a basic TV or monitor (not talking those smart TV things) to stop working without physical damage, so I said as much. Gotta give credit where it's due, she didn't hesitate, baulk, or make any attempt to talk out of that. Instead, she acknowledged that the reality is that the warranty was basically worthless. I mentioned that on another of my monitors the power button barely works anymore and she said that it wouldn't be covered. When asked what would be covered, she answered that anything that is damaged internally would be. So I showed her that there was no physical damage to the outside of the monitor, but it still wasn't going to be covered. I wasn't going to raise a stink over it. She'd be completely forward with me and didn't shy away when faced with the simplest of logical counters. So, I went ahead and thanked her and the technicians for their time looking into things. As I went to grab the monitor to leave, she stopped me and offered to refund the warranty plans (prorated). I thought, "great, I'm only a month into the plan since the manufacturers warranty only ended last month." That thought was quickly ruined. When I asked about the refund not being nearly the full amount, she explained that the geek squad warranty run concurrently with the manufacturers warranty. Basically, I was 1 year and 1 month into the extended warranty when I was only 1 month out of the manufacturers warranty. Instead of a 4-year extended warranty, it was really only a 3-year extension. If the manufacturers warranty was 2- or 3-years, this extended warranty would've been practically worthless. Still, nearly 3/4 of the cost being refunded is better than nothing, especially when I hadn't even considered that as an option. I had simply accepted that I was out the full cost of the plans.

If you sign up for this Best Buy will take care of everything. I don't know how they make money but it is a good service. I have had several interactions with the Geek Squad and they just fixed it and were nice. Came to my house. I am pleased.

Had 2 very expensive monitors die on me after about 18 months. Other than eating the $150 warranty cost each time, the exchange process is pretty painless and easy
