    I have not cashed in on my 4 year replacement yet but I feel peace of mind knowing that if my monitor does have any issues, I can easily have it replaced.

    And today’s market of technology, it can become very difficult, but it doesn’t have to be if you reach out to Best Buy’s‘s geek squad. Those guys are fantastic. They came out to my house set that television up went through all the settings and within no time I was watching a beautiful television set. Thank you guys so much and if only everyone knew how great you guys are they would all request your service. Thanks. Geek squad for being there and my time of need.

    Nice protection plan for my monitor, gives me peace of mind knowing that if anything goes wrong I can bring it into Geeksquad for repair or replacement.

    Always get the warranty if you're spending this much money whether it's a monitor or a console just do yourself a favor and protect it. Accidents happen.

    Be sure to check the terms and conditions on what form of reimbursement you're entitled to receive if your product could not be repaired. I bought a computer gaming monitor and it failed after a few years, still within the GSP-R plan. The assessment from a Geek Squad manager was that it could not be repaired, so they reimbursed me in the form of store credit on a gift card. When I questioned them on other forms of reimbursement, they told me it was the only option. I looked into the GSP-R March 1, 2020 - September 20, 2022 terms & conditions, I noticed that Section 7.b stated "Reimbursing you for the costs towards the purchase of a replacement product of like kind, quality and comparable performance with a store credit, gift card, or check in an amount not to exceed the non-discounted Best Buy retail price, including taxes, of your Covered Product at the time you purchased it." This made it sound like I was entitled to a check option. I spoke with multiple agents, including three specific representatives—a customer care agent online, a gift card department agent over the phone, and a reimbursement department agent over the phone. All three confirmed that I was correct and eligible for a check reimbursement. The third agent from the reimbursement dept. was kind and patient to look through the terms & conditions more carefully and pointed out to me section 12.c.III says "For all other Covered Products (apparently my monitor falls under this), except when covered by a Continuous Monthly Plan, our obligations will be fulfilled in their entirety if we replace your Covered Product with a new product or if we issue you a store credit or gift card as explained in Section 7(b)." - So, because this section only mentions store credit or gift card, I wasn't eligible for check reimbursement.

    Let me tell you a tale of Geek Squad extended warranties.... I had a Sony DLP 60" display years ago that developed a very green tinge. Come to find out it was a Sony defect in their product at the time. The first few repairs Sony covered the local repair shop and they came out and fixed the display. After that, we were on our own as the one year warranty had expired, but wait! We had purchased a Best Buy extended warranty at the time of purchase. The display broke two more times (same green hue issue and then the sound died), Best Buy covered both VERY expensive repairs no questions asked and the display then worked faithfully for the next 12 years till being retired a few years ago. I've been a fan of Best Buy extended warranties on select products every since.
