    Be sure to check the terms and conditions on what form of reimbursement you're entitled to receive if your product could not be repaired. I bought a computer gaming monitor and it failed after a few years, still within the GSP-R plan. The assessment from a Geek Squad manager was that it could not be repaired, so they reimbursed me in the form of store credit on a gift card. When I questioned them on other forms of reimbursement, they told me it was the only option. I looked into the GSP-R March 1, 2020 - September 20, 2022 terms & conditions, I noticed that Section 7.b stated "Reimbursing you for the costs towards the purchase of a replacement product of like kind, quality and comparable performance with a store credit, gift card, or check in an amount not to exceed the non-discounted Best Buy retail price, including taxes, of your Covered Product at the time you purchased it." This made it sound like I was entitled to a check option. I spoke with multiple agents, including three specific representatives—a customer care agent online, a gift card department agent over the phone, and a reimbursement department agent over the phone. All three confirmed that I was correct and eligible for a check reimbursement. The third agent from the reimbursement dept. was kind and patient to look through the terms & conditions more carefully and pointed out to me section 12.c.III says "For all other Covered Products (apparently my monitor falls under this), except when covered by a Continuous Monthly Plan, our obligations will be fulfilled in their entirety if we replace your Covered Product with a new product or if we issue you a store credit or gift card as explained in Section 7(b)." - So, because this section only mentions store credit or gift card, I wasn't eligible for check reimbursement.

    It’s definitely worth placing this warranty of expensive tvs and curved monitors. Look at the details of the plan, nothing beats it.

    The agents helped me so well. I went in to get a monitor looked at for my computer. The screen was blacked out in a spot and then it had dancing lines on the rest of the screen. They were very nice and took their time to find the best solution for me. Thus the best thing for my situation was to just just get a new monitor. They refunded the original amount for me and thankfully I went in on Labor Day so I was able to get a brand new monitor along with a protection plan all for the same price that I paid for the previous one. I love them

    The in-store sales rep may have over promised but for 20 bucks it seems like a good deal. we'll see if Best Buy can deliver on the promise of the service.

    Its always better to just make sure your purchase is protected. Gate having to buy the same item twice or 3 times.

    BUY THE PROTECTION PLAN!

    Pay $80-130 to have the ability to swap out your product for a brand new one with no questions asked for up to 4 years? Totally worth it especially if you buy something expensive like I did (a $1000 LG Ultra Wide monitor which could have a dead pixel on delivery). Monitors are a lottery.. you can receive a bad display on delivery and you can exchange it for another display to also have a bad display. So buying the geek squad service is a no-brainer must have! Dont be cheap when you spend big money. Buy the protection plan! Especially when your product's manufacturers warrant may be just 1-yr.. and even if its 1-yr or 4-yrs.. their customer support can ignore your calls and emails.. or give you the run-around and never replace your damaged product. So why waste all that time on the phone or even shipping it back to be repaired and not have something to use in the meantime? Best Buy usually has the product in stock so there will be no wait.
