This is the second time, that I am disappointed with the geek squad service. I went to the store, after speaking to a member from the geek squad to pick up my new computer. They did not inform me I had to sign up for a number to be serviced. I arrived and waiting around as my representative, ignored me too busy with another customer. It was late in the evening. Another customer walked in and after I had waited for approx. 30 mins on line, he took the customer that had just arrived before me because he had a number and I did not. This was very upsetting, I was not informed of this process and it was getting later. I had my child with me, she was restless, it was a school night, and I expected to have been serviced as I came in because I spoke with the representative, he did not say you will have to wait, or you should take a number so we can service you correctly. When I interupted him to ask him what was happening, he was even ruder than ignorning me. I was even more upset and cancelled my purchase.

O have not had to use this service. I have not had any issues with my printer

Always get a warranty when purchasing electronics that you use on a daily basis.

I purchased this protection, as I always do with my technology that I get at Best Buy. Had some trouble with the printer not connecting to the computer, and they said they could help. I would have to purchase a protection plan, and that mine didn't cover this. First time I have EVER had trouble with my Geek squad! They have always helped me in the past when my printer and computer were not connecting, and for some reason, this time they wouldn't.

Cover yourself for the inevitable possibility that your products will fail and need to be replaced.
