Brought my HP 3 yr 9 month printer in for repair under 4 yr warranty. They offered my full purchase price back on a gift card. Bought another printer and still have a nice credit from Best Buy. Yes, I bought the 4 yr warranty for the new printer.

Makes you feel safe purchasing from "Best Buy" and knowing if it has a defect they cover it. Ive only taken one thing back ever, but I was sure happy I had that extra coverage. Well worth the peace of mind.

I always try to get the Geek Squad Warranties for electronic items I buy that are above $50 or so and they usually pay off quite nicely! They usually don't cost that much more to buy and are well worth the peace of mind in knowing that you're pretty much guaranteed a working product for the duration of the warranty and sometimes for years beyond. Being able to get a good warranty is the main reason that I still buy most of my electronics from Best Buy. I will keep buying & recommending Geek Squad Warranties for as long as they keep providing quality services for quality products.

Nice to have this just in case. Good to know you can take it to them and they will do their best to fix it - if not it will be replaced.

Seven months earlier, I purchased a printer and a Geek Squad Replacement Agreement. After years of use, my old all-in-one printer finally failed. Who needs insurance for reliable products? I questioned my purchase but since BestBuy price matched my printer purchase, I was willing to support my brick and mortar business. The printer was at a secondary location and not used monthly. Surprise, the printer failed at 5 months. I had forgotten that I had this coverage and it took me a couple of months (mistake) to verify that it was the printer and not me. After looking for a replacement printer, I remembered that I had Geek Squad coverage and took the printer to BestBuy where the Geek Squad without hesitation issued me a pro-rated credit. This time I did not hesitate to purchase Geek Squad replacement coverage for the replacement printer. As with all insurance, I expect (or hope) the printer will stand up to my use and not need this insurance, but if it fails GeekSquad and BestBuy are there to support me.

I would suggest getting this for almost everything. I never used to buy warranties but after having to return printers and a scanner, I’m glad I did

Always, always, always get the extended warranty on printers. I bought the 4-year extended on my Epson WF-7840 in April 2021 and that printer stopped working in March 2025. Easy replacement.

Elvis is only the go to guy at geeksquad everyone else makes things worse

When I purchased my TV I got it home, set it up only to see that there was a small crack in the corner of the screen which made the TV unwatchable. Took the TV back to Best Buy and took it the Geek Squad and they looked the TV over and replaced the TV. Made me feel very comfortable. Asked a few questions without making me feel uncomfortable. They really are professional, would be lost without them when it comes to electronics.

It defiantly worth buying for peace of mind. Also, todays products are made to last for a few years, by all means it's a very good idea to have Geek Squad on your side.

I just used this same type of plan on a 2+ year old printer that became defective. I took it to the store and because it was not repairable and no longer in stock, I was issued store credit for the total original price. The process was painless and the folks at the store were very helpful. I took the store credit and bought another printer right away and of course bought the 4-year plan.

No issues with my Geek Squad replacement warranties. I have had both 2 year and 4 year product replacement warranties. I have used them twice, the instore people are awesome, they made the replacement process easy and painless. Dealing with them over the phone was fine in one instance, the second time it was a long drawn out process, the agent was obvoius new and really didnt have any idea what he was doing but in both cases the agents were very courteous. It sounds like the agents on the phone were from an overseas call center, both had accents which were hard to understand and the phone connections seemed poor. The in store geek squad people were awesome and I have nothing put praise for how they well handled my concerns. I recommend purchasing the replacement warrany on anything that you consider critical or high use and exp e nsive. They made the replace process easy.

I have been shopping with Best Buy since 2008 and I really enjoy doing so the workers are very professional. and friendly they are always someone ready to attend to you when you walk onto the store. the best thing is asking about a product that is not in the store, but they always give you the options that they can order it online. BestBuy this is where I get all my printer, etc. I would tell friends that they are missing out shopping with BestBuy.
