I usually don't buy insurance. I figure the product will last that long and usually does. But, my brother had bought the original product guarantee and needed it on a Samsung 3 terabyte remote hard drive. We could not get that product to work on 3 computers so took it back. The guys at BB were great about it- no hassels. Replaced the unit with a Western Digital 4 t unit and that one worked great. Probably won't need the guarantee!

I have always purchased this protection on items I purchase from Best Buy (about 20 years ago). I have purchased anything and everything electronic for the house. From Refigerator to iPads and everything in between. Whenever I’ve had to use the protection plan it has been no problem. I would continue to purchase these protections.

I purchased this but have not needed to use . Hoping that I don't have to in the future but if I do at least I'm protected.

As I've said before the protection plan gives you complete peace of mind if you need service have a question need replacement it's a phone call away or chat the Geek Squad or go to the store there always there to help i know they've helped me several times no matter how little or big

And it’s worth it if you’re worried about accidental spills or dropping it or some thing but if you’re not because you’re careful you’re an adult then the regular warranty probably works but I always get the geek squad because my house is a grandkids break everything house. But make sure it includes the accident coverage some of the geek squad warranties don’t.

This product is amazing! I have been shopping at Best Buy over 15 years and I absolutely love the store for all my electronic and music and video needs. I value this establishment very much.

For the price of the warrenty it isn't worth mot getting it. One less thing to worry about. Also one of the best priced warrentys available

I never have issues with assistance only during busy sales days and I don’t calll Monday or Friday unless have too so yes I buy helped me with saving thousands buying new computer once and yes use for my cell phones and iPad beats cell phones warranty you may feel little expensive but talk to them

Fixed my printer when it was having ink issues, now has now problems!

An HP representative was in the store the day I went shopping. She guided my purchase and helpedme save money because i had purchased lots of ink from my broken one and wanted to be a le to use it. I invested in the Geek Squad because we are senior citizens and cannot diagnose or fix a problem.

I always get Geek Squad protection plans when buying tech from Best Buy. I’ve found they’re a lot faster at getting a replacement in my hands, versus other protection plans. Furthermore, I like the peace-of-kind knowing my purchase is protected against defects. I’ve never had an issue utilizing the plan. A must buy for those expensive tech purchases.

This covers regular wear. It's very easy to have items replaced with replacement coverage as long as you are aware of what is and is not covered. If the coverage doesn't say "ADH" or "accidental coverage" then it doesn't cover accidents like drops. But for something like a mouse or headphones, it is still great because if the performance quality goes down at all you can swap it out for a new one or a different item completely.

I highly recommend everyone get a Geek Squad 2yr replacement plan. When something goes wrong with your tech you want to get back up and running quickly. The Geek Squad has always, ALWAYS made things right when something breaks. This is part of the reason I keep coming back to Best Buy to shop here – the Geek Squad has my back.

The Tech mounted my tv help me hook up my directv box and made a few suggestions that we didnt think about. I just bought a Refrigerator from Best Buy and because i have the total care package delivery and haul away was free - best purchase I made in a long time.

The main problem I have with the Geek Squad is that they are VERY short staffed. You have to wait what I consider a long time, before they come to your home. I talking 2 weeks. Right now, in the capital of NC - Raleigh - there is only 1 person geek squad that comes to your home and that's the reason for the long wait time. I can't imagine having a business and having to wait that long?!!!

Most electronics and home appliances don't seem seem to last very long. I always try to buy the extended warranties to avoid a hassle in returning them and I am in and out of the store quickly. Wish things would last 2 to 3 years but I have the assurance of the extended Geek Squad product replacement plans for all my Best Buy purchases.

As I've mentioned in other reviews, Geek Squad replacement plans are the only way to have peace of mind. I do not generally buy "add-on" plans like this from other companies but Best Buy makes it so easy to "fix" the headache of having technology go bad that this is a MUST HAVE in my opinion. Get this, and have peace of mind.
