    I would not buy a product like this without the extended warranty. I haven't needed it, yet, but if it does break, malfunction or just plain quit working (in part or completely) then I'll have a brand new replacement without coughing up another wheelbarrow of money.

    The item i bought this for was faulty. I did not notice till the return period passed. Thanks to this, my issue was resolved pretty quickly.

    i dont usually buy warranty for my products but best buy offers the best protection plans for your investments, if you are buying a game disc or movies on disc i dont recommend it, but if you are getting electronics such laptops, cellphones, etc i suggest getting the protection plan

    Geek Squad Protection Plan for Canon PIXMA Printer

    I like to buy most of my tech from Best Buy because they're convenient when it comes to protection and replacement. I happened to buy a Canon PIXMA printer, and it started having problems so I just replaced it.

    Warranties are so helpful and reliant. I suggest to always buy product warranty for anything bought at best buy. Their feel squad is very good at working with customers especially in technical complications.

    Seriously, if something is going to break down, it's usually within the first year or two. Getting a service plan on something you plan on keeping five years or more is important! And if they can't fix it, they will replace it, so, you can't lose out there, either!

    We had a printer with a small broken piece. We had purchased the Geek Squad Replacement. When I returned it, it couldn't have been easier, just dropped it off and picked up the replacement. It took me longer to walk into the store than to get the replacement and go.

    I’ve had 2 of my multiple printers go out and I would never buy another printer without buying the 2 year replacement warranty. They were great and replaced it with a new one without question.

    There is very little I purchase at Best Buy and don't get the Geek Squad protection, probably the best thing you can do to protect your purchase. They are always accommodating and I have never had a problem getting something replaced or fixed. Woodbridge store rocks.

    Tricky question...why? Because the Geek Squad personnel were EXCELLENT. The WAIT to get them scheduled was NOT. So...people 5 stars...process...2 stars.

    I brought in my defunct printer that I had only a few months. The good news was that the price had gone down on it and I was given a better printer and a credit for the price drop. It was all done in a few minutes.

    HyperX headphones I purchased had a bad speaker. They replaced the speaker at no cost, but still had issues. They were able to replace the The headphones with a brand new one (newer model) at no additional cost, and they even threw in another warranty for free!

    Easy enough. Ten dollars protects a drive with lots of moving parts and lasers and tons of stuff that can go wrong for 2 years. Well worth it. I dont do the extended warranty often but for this it was a pretty easy decision. Saves to my bestbuy card so i dont have to keep anything.

    Working in a small satellite office a thousand miles away from our head office and having no IT support, I use the Geek Squad to help me through those times of 'crashes' and other technical issues. I have used them on the phone and in person. They have saved us many times.
