I have had nothing but excellent service with any product that I've had to bring into the Geek Squad for evaluation or repair. My laptop had gotten something stuck in the headphones jack and the tech worked diligently to get it out - it appeared to be a small stone that had fallen into the jack - it works great now!! I bought new RAM for my laptop and they installed it for me. I bought new RAM for my desktop and the technician assured me that I could install it myself and as a matter of fact, I was able to. I have returned several items that were covered and they either fixed or fully replaced.

Best purchased I’ve ever bought. Very knowledgeable. Always feel good. Wow they are helping me with any issues I may have. Very personable and works very hard. Trying to resolve my issues. The 24/7 availability is very awesome to me. The coverage that they offer is amazing. I highly recommend using geek squad for any issues that might arise, and their coverage plan again is Flawless.

I don't really like that it's not like a full warranty. If the item gets discontinued in favor of a newer version instead of just replacing it with the newer version they give you what you paid for the original ro go toward something else. Considering Best Buy is a tech store and tech notoriously goes obsolete quickly combined with rampant inflation, the amount you spent on the previous item winds up falling quite short of the newer model. So even after the money you pay for the protection plan you probably will end up spending hundreds more to even get something comparable to what you had. In the end, I guess it still saved me a couple hundred over all but it was frustrating and disappointing. If I couldn't have afforded the difference I would have still been without a security system.

This review is simply for an extended warranty, not for any Geek Squad service. (Nothing against them, but I'm an engineer and fully capable of installing, setting up, and maintaining my own equipment. In this case, I was forced to work from home, for the same reason most of us were, for the last few weeks of last year. I soon found that I had no means to communicate in virtual meetings. The solution was to purchase a gaming headset with a USB interface, which put me back in service! The extended warranty was very inexpensive so I bought that as well. Fortunately, I've not had to use it, but am confident that if I do, Best Buy will belly up to the bar.

The ability to buy in store or online and have the issue resolved at a nearby BestBuy is an awesome experience.

I will always trust Geek Squad for all their help with all my electronic needs. They are the friendliest people. They are very professional and treat my issues with top priority! I truly feel valued!

Its good but my away blinking light's and sometimes it does not detect my cat away goes to the red light blinking, its ok but I have to get my hands dirty!

Hopefully I won’t need it but definitely purchased it just in case!

They looked at my product and they were able to determine that it needed to be replaced. Replacement processed fast and I even purchased another plan for my new cameras

You should NEVER buy a product from bestbuy without buying the protection plan. IT IS A MUST.
