    I generally get at least a 2 year protection plan on any of my more valuable electronic purchases. Hopefully you never need to use it, but it's great to have should something go wrong!

    On bigger purchases I will buy the Geek Squad protection but not on lesser priced items. I had a $100 tv and had the protection and I had to bring it in and leave it. It couldn't be fixed in house so was shipped out. That's two-three weeks without a tv. I bought another one in the meantime. As far as setting things up in my house, I would use the Geek Squad every single time!
