This bad larry really pushes some big sound out, and i really appreciate the separate zone. I wired a separate set of speakers in the garage and outside on zone 2 and it can play from a source independent from zone one at a different volume level.

I like my Denon. But the analog input options are pathetic. Only 2? They must think nobody uses a turntable, tape deck, or analog CD player anymore, and that's not true. I use them and lot of others do. We analog lovers have been left in the dust of a techno-obsessed world. I miss the old days when quality was a priority.

This receiver puts out more than enough power! Plenty of side features. I paired this with the Klipsch HT-50 Surround speakers and the sound is amazing! Whether you choose 5.1 option or 7.1 this receiver has you covered.

There was no doubt... Anything electronic - needs protection. Inevitably, when the manufacturer's warrantee experience, things go out. I think that most companies use products to manufacturer things now (using cheaper materials) that actually have a shorter shelf and functional life. Like replacing metal gears with plastic, or lesser grades of wires, etc. For the price, this is the lesser of two costs, and no hassles and long phone calls with some frustrating system. They simply replace it. Done!

Absolutely Fantastic product! Definitely worth the money. Perfect for the bedroom. You can really hear the sound travel. It truly gives that 7.1.4 surround feel. Its an amazing listening experience. Its also great for when I focus on dialog versus the background sound affects (like gunshots, crashes, or explosions)

I haven't needed to use this particular plan yet and hope to not have that experience, but appreciate the security and peace of mind having it provides. With other items in the past I have used Geek Squad service through purchased protection plans and it was excellent. Quick service and you are back to enjoying your product.

Bought this receiver instead of the Sony STRDN850. I went back and forth but decided on the Denon. It was a very easy setup. I went ahead and put the speaker wires on using banana plugs before I powered on the receiver and went through the screen setup. I got one of the speaker wires backwards by putting the negative to the positive post and during the setup process it informed me that this was the case.
The setup went very smoothly. I plugged in all the HDMI cables for my components, setup the WiFi and then did the speaker calibration. Took me about 1 hour to remove my old Yamaha receiver and replace it with this one. The Audyssey speaker calibration using the included microphone and cardboard pyramid was also very simple and straight forward. The GUI interface on the TV screen is very basic but informational. The sound from both the cable box and the Blu-ray player is phenomenal. I'm hearing sounds from my rear speakers that were not audible from the old receiver. The Bluetooth is also very easy to set up with an android phone and the airplay feature for Apple products works just as well.
After the setup it prompted me for a firmware update but I didn't do it because I read on some other reviews that it always would fail and then you have to repeat the setup and speaker calibration process again. Since I'm not experiencing any functional problems with the receiver I went with the old adage that if its not broke don't fix it.
I've had this receiver since the beginning of January and I listen to all TV shows and movies using the excellent sound produced by this receiver. If you are looking to replace your current receiver I would readily recommend this Denon to anyone looking for a mid-level 7.2, Network ready, Bluetooth, 4K receiver.

There is great value in purchasing a BestBuy Geek Squad 4-Year Protection Plan for my recently purchased Onkyo 6-Disc CD player. It's nice to have peace of mind knowing that if something does go wrong with the product, BestBuy will be there to help to get it fixed right.
