I have had a set of LIFX lights that I need to get replaced for some time now. I have this protection plan... but I don't have a vehicle, and the best buy location is about 20 miles away from me. It's not made very clear how to go about using this service.

I bought this because the last player I bought bit the dust and LG proved so difficult to deal with that I chucked it down the trash shoot. Now, of course, that I invested in the protection plan, the player will work perfectly until the day after the protection runs out. I don’t recommend it.

Geek squad a nothing more than an inconvenience. Since they closed so many stores instead of having one 10 minutes away now the nearest location is 60 miles away. No way to file the claim online have to physically go to a store that isn’t close. This will be my last purchase from Best Buy there is just much better more convenient options. The first claim I had was on a surround speaker that had obvious popping in the store after 2 send offs the matter was never resolved they sent it back stating it didn’t need repair. Also had to bring the receiver sub woofers and all speakers to send it all off for one corner speaker. Don’t waste your time with Best Buy or geek squad unless you have one close but that’s not a guarantee either so just avoid Best Buy unless you want to spend 30 plus minutes plus on hold to actually speak to someone who has to make an appointment for you to even bring the item.

I say this in all my other reviews for geek squad protection, but it's really only worth it when you need it. If you can get them at a good deal then definitely buy it if not and you never need it, it's not worth it.

I purchased the Echo Show 10 along with the 4 year extended warranty, and it worked for just shy of 4 week (the Alexa function stopped working). Best Buy’s return policy is a ridiculously short 2 weeks, They would not refund my money, and would only offer me store credit, even though I had the extended warranty and I didn’t want to buy anything else. This forced me to accept an exchange for another Echo Show 10. Then I was told exchanging the product ended my warranty, so I had to spend another $50 on that. My second Echo Show 10 lasted just over six weeks before the Alexa function again stopped working. The one fortunate is that Best Buy has offered an extended return period and I have until January 13 to return it. I have not decided yet what I will do, but I definitely will not be getting another Ech Show 10. Perhaps I will get a simpler version, as I don’t find the swivel function all that helpful. Best Buy is not being truthful when it says they care about their customers.
