Great Picture, Sound could be better
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this TV for approximately 6 months now and the picture is extremely good for the price I paid. I do however, wish that the sound was better as you typically have to turn up the sound pretty high for some movies. I also wish that I had noticed that the USB port was only for photos.

budget friendly tv
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i brought this tv online because it was on sale. the sound is good, picture quality is good, and worked great with my roku and wii gaming system. this tv is in my family room for my kids to enjoy. the only downfall to me is it only has two hdmi hookups. my last two tvs had three hdmi. you cant hookup alot of things to your tv. i do recommend this tv, if you buy it on sale .......

Great TV for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this TV for a few months now. It's well built and stable - I don't have it bolted to the wall, but I am not concerned that it is going to fall over. Love the picture quality, no problems with viewing angles. Sound quality is ok, but could be improved by a soundbar. Remote is easy to use. Overall, a great TV for the money I paid.

Awesome right out of the box
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We saw this model on sale, and for the price, you can't beat it. The set-up was super easy, as long as you're not an idiot like me! We connected to our cable box using an the cable provided by the cable company (analog cable#. Needless to say, the picture was very disappointing. Once we switched to an HDMI cable - the picture was AWESOME! Also, I'm slightly deaf so I was worried about having to buy a sound bar. No need at all - the sound is fantastic. I can't comment as to the number of HDMI ports that some people were unhappy about, since I don't even know what that is! I was told at the store that the Insignia brand is manufactured by LG #or Vizio?) for Best Buy and the quality is really, REALLY good. Save yourself a ton of money and buy this brand - you won't be disappointed.

Satisfied with purchase
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this TV for at least 6 weeks and so far very satisfied with my purchase. The picture and sound are very good and the remote can be seen without a magnifying glass (unlike some). The price was my main reason for trying Insignia and glad I did.

The best TV for the best price.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Insignia 48" TV is as good as the more popular brands, excellent picture, very crisp and clear, it's what sold me. I paid $399.00, and it was worth every bit, good sound and easy to set up. By far the best TV for the best price.

A Solid Basic HDTV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is definitely a steal at the price of $370. It has a beautiful picture for a cheaper 48" 1080P LED TV. My only complaint is that there are only two HDMI ports. Not a problem since I only use a console and a chromecast, but I may need a HDMI switch in the future.

Perfect HDTV for PS4 or Xbox One
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was in the market strictly for a gaming HDTV. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. The highest output on PS4 and Xbox One is 1080p and 60Hz. Meaning the higher end models actually can detract from your picture experience. I researched HDTV's for 6 weeks, scouring the internet for reviews and information. The more I read, the more it became clear that you don't need all the bells and whistles if you are STRICTLY GAMING. I didn't buy this TV for cable TV. I didn't buy this TV for Blu-Ray's. I bought this for Madden, NBA2K15 and a slew of new PS4 games. It took a few days of calibrating the TV and letting my eyes adjust to the color and vibrance, but at 48' and under $380.00 I couldn't be any happier. A great contrast ratio at 10,000,000 to 1, plus great black levels make this unit stand up to any other HDTV that is 2x or 3x the price. Perfect NEXT GEN gaming TV.

Bang for buck
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'd rather watch an average 48" tv than a flawless 32". $308 for the open box is hard to beat too.

Good picture quality, text. not so much.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this tv in the hope as using it as a monitor as well. The picture quality is outstanding and for the price I am not sure if it could get better. However, text on it was never clear enough to be used as a monitor.

Great picture for low end model
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I went into BestBuy intending to buy a open box Insignia 46" LED TV for $343 but someone had already bought it. The only other tv with a low price was this new model Insignia 48" TV. I am pleasantly surprised how good the picture is. And the sound is better than expected. I owned a LG 46" TV in 2011 and the picture of this Insignia 48" looks very similar to the LG. In fact, this Insignia has a somewhat brighter picture than the LG. I didn't know what to expect from Insignia since it's not a major brand like Sony, Samsung and LG, but I'm happy with this purchase of the Insignia 48" LED TV.

So much yes
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I honestly don't understand why someone would spend over $1000 when this TV is just as good. Great picture and sound quality!

This TV is fantastic
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded from a 43 inch 3d samsung plasma to this tv. I usually always buy Samsung, but I saw this on sale for 399 and thought what the heck I'll give it a whirl since it was significantly cheaper. Brought it home mounted it. The picture blows away my old samsung. Even my girlfriend saw a difference right away she said "I am so glad you got this TV!" I cannot attest to the speakers since I have home theater speakers, but picture is great and price is more than right.

Great TV, Great Bargin
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really have nothing negative to say about this TV as it has been a great buy. The colors are great, the remote is basic but has everything I need. I would recommend this TV to anybody looking for a large, flat screen TV for sure. I felt obligated to write a review because part of the reason I bought this TV was because of all the great reviews I read and I have to say they were spot on.

Great TV for the price.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a Westinghouse 46" and returned it after a week because of awful speakers and picture. I picked this Insignia up and I was very surprised. The picture rivaled the Samsung plasma I bought last year. The only downside is it only has 2 hdmi connections. I am very pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone.
