This TV was an excellent purchase. I have owned Samsung, LG and Panasonic 1080p TV's and I REALLY wished I would have taken a chance on the Insignia brand before buying those TV's. The picture is as good as I have seen on any 1080p-60hrz TV. There is even an 3.5mm mini jack outlet that you could plug headphones into. I plugged in my Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 speakers into that outlet and now it sound is as good as the display. At $399 you CANNOT beat this deal.

Great Picture for the price, this is the second one I have bought after seeing what a great picture it has.

Set it up, turned it on, and haven't changed any adjustments. Tried some different settings, but went back to the original ones As far as contrast, the dark tones of black are fairly distinct from each other, which I haven't found on all LED's. For the price, I doubt you will find a better TV, and we bought it as the deal of the day. An even better price.

I have been everywhere trying to look for a great low budget led. I looked online at best buy and saw this. I went to the store and it was not on display, but I bought it anyway. The picture is great the sound is good enough for me. Looking at Samsung compared to insignia not a difference. This is my 2nd insignia and I like them a lot. My plasma still works great just upgraded. I hope this helps.

I purchased an Insignia 48inch TV 6 months ago although I usually buy Vizio. I decided to go with an Insignia this time around because the price was good and reviews on BestBuy.com looked pretty good. The TV shows a 4.5 star rating (although I'm giving it a 1-star). After having this poor quality TV for 6 months it decided to die on me. The power keeps shutting on and off and there is no picture or sound. What a piece of junk! I really wish I could return it and get my money back! Thank god I at least was smart enough to purchase the additional 5 year Geek Squad Protection Plan!

My fiancé has been wanting a TV for while now, so I decided to get him one for Christmas... After searching, and reading reviews, and comparing TVs at different store...I couldn't be happier. It's perfect!! Easy set up and great picture!!

This is our first big screen TV and we are very happy with it. I was unsure about the Insignia brand, but the reviews were good. The picture is beautiful and the sound is excellent. I knew from the description that it only had the 2 hdmi connections, but that is really the only thing that I don't love about it. It's only been a few days, so if anything changes I will revisit the review. At this point i have no hesitation in recommending it.

My parents randomly wanted to upgrade their TV. We went to BestBuy and got one the same day. The BestBuy guy told me that Insignias are just rebadged Samsungs. However, I personally thought the actual Samsungs had better pictures, but I wasn't convinced if the improved pictures were worth the 30% price premium. So we went for the Insignia 48". So far my parents are happy with it. I hope it lasts though.

I researched a lot of hdtv's and was more than happy that I decided on buying the Insignia 48" LED HDTV. Awesome picture and sound. If you don't want all the bells and whistles of a smart tv. I highly recommend this tv. 1080p/24 playback is amazing on this with a blu-ray player. Cable looks great even with the component cable input.

Bought this tv to go in living room. It serves its purpose. The picture quality is not a Samsung, Sony, LG, there is some motion blur, but for someone that watches minimal tv I am happy with my purchase. Its a good deal

Recently purchased, was looking for 40-50 in led for the family room,something on sale for around 400. After looking at all the popular brands, I decided on this 48in. Setup was a snap, great picture, sound, and features.No need to spend hundreds more on a tv this size. If you want a great tv, for under 400, this is the one for you.

Great picture and great price. I have a 55" Samsung LED 3D TV in my living room and this is my basement and the picture just about as good as the Samsung. I got this TV for $349.99-10% Movers coupon so I paid around $340 after taxes. The TVs regular price is $449.99 and I think that at that price its definitely worth it. If your looking for a GREAT tv for less than $400, and at 48", this is a superb deal!!!!!

I wanted a 48" to replace my 32" but I didn't want to spend $1000+ and I didn't want to spend another $200 for a "smart" TV (don't want my TV talking to the internet, anyway). Well, this TV has a great picture and plenty of volume, and the audio sounds great.

This unit was purchased for our living room and it was a great addition. The picture and sound are excellent. We are very pleased with this model.
