I decided after 19 yrs it was time to replace my old surround sound system but i did not want to spend allot but at the same time i wanted something that gave me the sound i was looking for.Well i was in the right place at the right time finding this and after talking with a Best Buy salesman on the phone i decided to get one but they had sold the last one and all they had left was a open box one someone had brought back but they assured me it would work just fine and the price was lower.When i got there they knocked off even more money so how could i say no and i bought the 4 yr warranty that you are making a mistake if you do not get this covers you.In 1 hr's time i was set up and running from setting the volume of each speaker to the Wi Fi. I put in a Blu Ray DVD that had action that i felt would test the sound and not only was i more then pleased but my wife even said "WOW" she heard things she never heard before.The bottom line is it looks sharp,easy to set up and it sounds great for the price we hear so many things now it has made it easy to forget my old system.I do not regret getting it watching movies is better then ever and i do not see us going to the movies for a longtime.Even at full price i would buy it in a heartbeat you will love it.I want to thank the salesman he was "GREAT" he gave me 100% of his time and he went out of his way to serve me.I know the sound i wanted and for the price this system gave it to me and that is why i shop at Best Buy.

I never buy anything without researching first. I thought I was getting a good deal with this system. The sound is nothing like my 10 year old system. I could play music on my old system and it sounded like it was coming out of a great stereo system. This system sounds like an 80's boom box with no bass. Now, after having it a little over a month, it stops streaming video from Netflix and Prime. I have to turn it off and on several times to get through an episode. Then it might just do it again after an hour. It is NOT my internet connection. The response on the remote is very poor. There is a good 15 second delay when a button is pushed for any action except for volume. Sometimes, when I go to Netflix, it'll just start playing whatever is on the screen without me even pushing a button. I'm very disappointed in this system. I live in rural MN, and getting back Best Buy to return it is a heck of a trip.

I have never had my own surround sound but I am in love with this one. It's amazing. Super easy to set up and the cords are super long. The only thing is that you have to make sure that your audio setting in your tv are switched to the specific HDMI. the instructions do not specify that anywhere so that was frustrating but I highly suggest this!

This is my first 3D player and my first surround sound system. It looks great and sounds awesome! I am very pleased with my purchase! The up-conversion for regular DVD's to HD quality is really nice too, although we don't really watch many regular DVD's anymore.

Wanted a system cause my sound bar was not enough.....saw this at Best Buy and took a chance that it would be good......easy to set up and totally blew me away with the quality..the 3D caught me by surprise on a movie...and just looked fantastic....compared to other 3D I have seen..Highly recommend...

I researched this item carefully before buying. One review said there was an HDMI in on the device, I realized there wasn't upon seeing the floor model at the store, but decided to go with it anyway believing it would have all of the apps I would need to replace the Roku which is taking up another HDMI port on my TV. Set up took some time but wasn't too complicated. This device advertised several things that it could do that I was not able to make happen. 1) It claimed on several websites that it used Apple and Android apps. I have several of these including HBOgo, Maxgo, Showtime Anytime, Watch ESPN, EPIX, Amazon Prime, and Netlix. Out of all of these, only Amazon Prime and Netflix were available. I attempted to use the embedded web browser to navigate to the websites for these services but they wouldn't function because they use Flash, which is also not supported. 2) it advertised that I would be able to play content from my ipod or iphone when plugged into the USB port, but I kept getting a message saying that the device was not supported - I tried this with an iPhone4 and a Kindle Fire. 3) While I was able to stream content stored and saved in my computer, I was not able to play streamed content on my computer. If there had at least been an HDMI in port I would have been able to keep my Roku and used at least the sound system speakers to stream the content, but I don't even have that ability. This device is being returned tomorrow, and I'm giving it a bad review because the capabilities that it was advertised with are simply not there, and it doesn't fit my needs at all.

Brought this system 2 days ago from best buy, i purchased it because the salesman told me it was a really good system. got it home connected it exactly as directions stated. now when it plays on ipod or phone the sound is really nice, all the speakers play and the sound is clear, crisp loud and good but the fm radio has static for days and the antenna doesn't help much the static makes it sound terrible. however that is not my biggest problem, i did not buy it solely for music. i purchased it because i am a movie fanatic and wanted to watch movies with the surround sound theater experience. my husband has a Samsung system in his man cave and when we watch movies its like being in a real movie theater so i wanted the same sound in my lady cave. when you put it on tv no matter what settings you put it on it sounds like garbage. the best one was with 3 of the speakers not coming on. no matter what we did we could not get all the speakers to work while in tv mode (THE MAIN REASON I WANTED A SYSTEM). sound is really low as if your watching your tv on max volume without surround sound system. spent hours trying to get all the speaker to work on tv mode with no success. Returning for my money back and get a Samsung system, i could of brought a sound pill for my ipod i wanted movie theater system to watch movies. totally disappointed and frustrated.

I bought this home theater system to replace a sound bar and what a difference. For the price it works and sounds great. the 1000w gives a nice thump also.

Its been 3 week I bought this product, I loved the product initially. Speakers, surround system is just awesome for the price. Though i had troubles with interface response time at time I was okay with it. But since last few days, blu-ray player gives me a high audible noise even when there is no disc playing( may be this could be with few particular blu-rays). This annoying sound has completely disappointment me, I decided to return this product today.

Great sounding system! Would love it if it was wireless, but wireless is mucho mas $$ :) Great system though!

Set up was good. Sound was incredable. Needed a HDMI cable and a optical cable. But besides that was a good choice.

Wasn't happy with the proprietary audio wires. Meaning I could not use the speaker with my existing receiver. You can only use the speakers with the sony Blu-Ray player.

Love it I also have the same item a couple models earlier and love both of them.

Family purchased this unit for our bedroom. Been nothing but a major headach and wish we returned it before time ran out under the return policy at Best Buy. Player shuts down running dvds, no reason, no specific spots, dvds themselves have no issues, system does not overheat. Volume is bad. Has to be run approximately 45-50 for it to be audible. This isn't the case with our other sound systems in which it only needs to be about 15. Very slow load, can't even load netflix bwcause it just sits in limbo for all services. Factory reset, all the updates, same old problem. If I didn't need it for sound I would throw it out in a heartbeat. Already have to use consoles in order to watch movies because of how bad the player is. Terrible system with same problems that have been repeated for years.

very pleased with this product. very happy with the sound quality. would buy this again.

Have this system hooked up in my living room and it cuts out ALL the time. Watching TV the sound just cuts off. VERY aggravating. Sometimes you have to turn it off and on a couple times. Does not show any updates when I got to the settings so not sure what's wrong.

When I first bought this device it would constanty freeze and lock up on shut down and would have to be unplugged to get working. After numerous calls to Sony they finally released a software update that fixed this issue. My wife has been complaining for a while that Blue-rays would not play. I didn't believe her till today, Christmas morning and we are trying to play our new movies. The device will not recognize ANY blue-ray. Called Sony again. Sorry, out of 1 year warranty take into a store for repair. Best Buy needs to drop this product like a hot potato. DO NOT BUY THIS USELESS SO-CALLED BLUE-RAY PLAYER.

I was thrilled with the price of the new system until I got it home and realized there are NO HDMI INPUT jacks on the back. I had to take it back and look for an older model of this same thing. I an a Sony fax with my entire home equiped with their products but an gravely disappointed in this SERIOUS OVERSIGHT.

First time was the 50" tv with a cheap projection system that went bad. 2nd was this home stereo in a box. Sound is good but the speakers are hard wired with special connectors. All the services - netflix, hulu, etc are EXTREMELY SLOW. Roku 3 is instant compared to the sony. Remote is overly sensitive - difficult to navigate. When watching a DVD the unit will just turn off for no reason. Don't waste your money.
