2nd time sony has dissapointed...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First time was the 50" tv with a cheap projection system that went bad. 2nd was this home stereo in a box. Sound is good but the speakers are hard wired with special connectors. All the services - netflix, hulu, etc are EXTREMELY SLOW. Roku 3 is instant compared to the sony. Remote is overly sensitive - difficult to navigate. When watching a DVD the unit will just turn off for no reason. Don't waste your money.

Ipod Trouble

By the time i got a dock the 14 days had passed to take it back.The guy told me everything is paired by bluetooth.I tried pairing my ipod but it doesnt work. It plays the same playlist over and over no matter how many times i shuffle. Cant even listen to a album. For over a week ive gone through the instructions. Very frustrating. I would take it back if i could...

Supported Bluetooth version: Bluetooth Specification version 3.0 / Supported Bluetooth profiles: A2DP 1.2 (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) / AVRCP 1.3 (Audio Video Remote Control Profile). To be able to use the Bluetooth function, the Bluetooth device to be connected must support the same profile as this system. Garbage
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I paid $300 for this system and it is total absolute garbage the surround sound speakers are weak I turned up the sound full blast unplugged center channel left and right the surround sound speakers don't play anything. Plugged everything back house in play the CD only the front left and right speakers play. Subwoofer sounds like there's a piece of paper in it rattling around. Save yourself some time and do not buy this piece of garbage go old school and get yourself a good tuner with some good tower speakers and represent your audio the right way

Don't Buy This

I spent 5 hours trying to set this up including more than 2.5 hours on the phone with Sony going all the way up to 2nd Level Expert Assistance only to be told that the wireless capability extends to 20 feet max. So the convenience of having built-in wireless is completely nullified by the short distance this system supports. This system is going back immediately.

Never buy open box
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I ordered open box and upon arrival I found out the package Don't include remote,the blue ray player had dents and scratches The wires were broken and the condition was bad.I was told the sound system is in excellent condition with no damages.never buy open box item online without looking at it.Best Buy wasted my time and have to take the package to dump it back to them.

Worked Great for ONLY 9 Months

Worked for 9 months then started getting a loud buzzing sound from the receiver. Apparently some part inside went bad - it was not coming from the speakers. Sony would not warrant the work since this was a gift and all I had was the shipping packing list from UPS. I would not recommend any Sony Product based the fact they will not stand behind their product. I would recommend you purchase the Best Buy extended warranty if you want to take a chance with this system.

REALLY BAD CONNECTION
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The lag time between when you push the button on the remote to when this system actually DOES what you're asking it to is extensive. The connection for this is POOR! You can't really binge watch anything because you will have to restart the entire thing at least twice while watching just 1 episode. Be prepared to spend 3 hours watching a 2 hour show, since you're going to have to reboot the whole system and then slowly go through alllllll the screens to get back to where you were. My brother has the same system. He hard-wired his in and it does the SAME THING.

Very poor performance for streaming
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Takes up to 15 minutes to connect to Netflix - and never less than 5 minutes. I found the WiFi streaming to be so bad that I ran an ethernet cable - this improved the streaming, but not the time it takes to connect. Sound is mediocre, but considering it's only $300, probably to be expected. The only reason I didn't take it back is that it took me 2 hours to set up and I don't want to spend all the time it would take to repackage it and set up a different unit (although every day when I use it, I get irritated at Sony for put out such poor performing tech!) Really disappointed and will probably be the last Sony I every buy. I bought this because I wanted a wired surround system (not wireless, since I didn't have power where the surround speakers needed to go. My main use is connecting to Netflix and Amazon Video, not using the Blu Ray player itself. I was replacing a Samsung unit that finally died. If you aren't going to be streaming, this unit might work ok for you, but I suggest you look for a different brand.

STOPPED WORKING AFTER 1 WEEK!

Awful
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We almost exclusively buy Sony and have never had as many issues as with this. Love it when it works, but randomly blacks out or shuts off. Sonya customer service was terrible. Very disappointed.
