Good sound quality, good machine. Sometimes logs me out of apps and has stopped reading DVDs mid movie. Still trying to determine if it's the machine or the disk but disk is brand new as well.

Just getting used to the functionality of the CD player, but so far so good. Used to a 6 CD player and the convenience of playing multiple discs. The sound is typical Sony, classic and clear!

Surround sound is good but not much sound output for tv application. It is hard to have enough sound on some occasions while using with tv. I will recommend to get better than this.

I bought this system ,{Not for my Media Room}; however, for the garage while I'm out there working ~ In that type of space, it's a great and affordable product.

The system provides excellent sound for the price and is very easy to install. Set up is not as intuitive as I had hoped, but it's not a problem. I added a wireless rear speaker unit and the surround sound from the rear speakers is impressive. Good system overall and a great replacement for the faulty Samsung unit I had before.

This works great, it had even more features then I expected. It works great with any TV especially a Sony. I haven't had any issues with it so far. Only issue I had was learning how to work it which I picked up pretty quickly after playing with it for a day.

Bought this thinking it has wireless speaker connections but it didn't. Otherwise is great for the price and have many speakers for good sound quality.

I bought this on black friday for only $229 as a Christmas gift to myself. For me, it was well worth the money. This unit functions as a Blu-ray/DVD player, CD player, TV sound system, FM radio, and internet streaming player. The Blu-ray video quality is great and it also does a fantastic job upconverting DVDs to near high definition quality. Listening to a Blu Ray movie on this system is like being in a movie theater and adds greatly to the viewing experience. Being able to listen to FM radio and CDs is a great extra. But the real treat is all the internet streaming content that you can access; YouTube, Crackle, Hulu & Netflix (with subscriptions), Pandora, NPR radio programs, and on and on. There's tons of free movies, TV shows, music and internet video that is available for no cost. If you don't have access to streaming internet on your TV and you're thinking about buying a home theater system I strongly recommend this. Extra suggestion: if you buy this, be sure to get a HDMI cable and a audio optical cord to run between the unit and your cable box or TV. Turn your TV speakers off if listening to this or you may get an echo effect from the sound delay between your TV and this system.

I first went to wal-mart and bought a cheap one for $200 then i went to best buy and bought one for $400, boy they are right when they say you get what you pay for it!!!

This unit is perfect for our small media room. It is just the right output (not too loud, but great surround sound). We love watching movies, and now love listening to them in surround.

setup was pretty simple although my setup at home is semi complicated with many devices connected to a projector. Great sound overall. Would recommend to anyone.

This is being used in an RV for full-time use. The compact size with all the state-of-the-art, high-tech features makes this unit perfect for the RV. It would be great for home also. Very happy with this configuration and performance.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my husband. He loves it. The sound and picture are amazing. It is definitely worth the money. I replaced a system that was less than 100 dollars, and you definitely get what you pay for. Love this system! !!

When I bought my new Sony 48" television, I decided to upgrade the surround system as well. Looked at the Bose system, and a few others that were quite a bit more money, but did not sound that much better. Ended up with this unit, and I'm quite pleased. The subwoofer could have a bit more punch for my taste, but it still rocks the room pretty good. Works seamlessly with the Sony television. Very easy set-up, and very user friendly. A great value.

Great sounds nice color easy to use but you will need a big room will not accommodate small rooms

I'm very happy with my system, it was a bit tricky setting it up. In my opinion Sony could have improved it as far as the operating aspect goes, so that's the reason for the 4 stars, if I could I would only ding them half a star. Physical setup was a breeze, very straightforward. Sound quality is very good, and the ARC is awesome, one HDMI cable per device, allowed me to completely eliminate a bunch of optical cables and a switch. Highly recommend!!

Purchased for use with a projector as part of an outdoor theater. Provides agreat surround sound experience.

I bought this Home Theater system for my sister and her boyfriend for Christmas. I had read reviews about it and played with it in the store. I really liked the Bluetooth connectivity and I knew that would be a feature they would use routinely. I ran the demo mode at the store and the sound was amazing. I then connected my phone to the system using the bluetooth and played Pandora through it, and its sounded mediocre. Once they got the system home, we played with some of the audio settings and got it sounded as good as the demo mode. The only complaints I have is that the speakers are prewired with connections for the bluray player (although they are color coded, which would make things very simple for less then confident with electronics), and that there isnt an HDMI IN port to support other devices. However I would recommend this to anyone that wants great sound out of a simple package.

This surround sound packs great sound for such small speakers. I think it sounds better than the average sound bars out there, give a true 5.1 sound.
