The issue however is that the bowl shape is different then the standard steel bowl that comes with the KitchenAid mixer. As a result the spatula mixing attachment doesn't contact the sides of the bowl and ingredients don't get full mixed unless you mix them in by hand. For many recipes this wouldn't matter but it can be very inconvenient for those that do.
