    I purchased a protection plan along with a TV purchase to ensure I had a working and functional TV for at least 5 years. The purchased TV was the high end of the brand at the time and we've enjoyed it. Unfortunately I cannot say the same regarding the protection plan. In my first year, we ran into issues with the TV. It was under manufacturers warranty, so they covered a motherboard replacement. Within a few weeks of the manufacturers warranty ending, ran into more issues with the TV. This is the reason I purchased the protection plan and thought I was covered. It was easy getting someone out to inspect and determine another motherboard replacement was needed. That was during my last week of my remote job. I have since started a new job that's 45mins away. I communicated this and the technician said it wasn't a problem and scheduled a Saturday appointment. The date rolls around and no communication from Best Buy all day. I call and am told no agent was assigned and would escalate my issue. It cascaded downhill more and more from here. I had a total of 5 escalations and >12 interactions with Best Buy customer service via chat, call, and in store. Then I'm finally told by someone at corporate that they don't have Saturday appointments in my area and said I should take PTO. It's a new job that I haven't received any PTO yet, so the rep was basically putting me in position to call out sick and hurt my reputation and employment status with this employer. I ask about options like exchanging or returning for store credit and was told that's not an option because they haven't gotten a chance to fix it. They won't work with you for Saturday appointments. So I've been stuck with a malfunctioning TV for months and am told my only option was to mail a complaint to corporate. I mailed a letter to corporate and still haven't received any type of communication. I've been a long time customer of Best Buy. Very disappointed by this situation and I feel cheated being stuck with a malfunctioning TV. Why would I ever shop at Best Buy again after an experience like this?

    I had this protection service on my former LG TV that failed after 3 years of use. The Best Buy customer service personnel assisted me efficiently and effectively with guiding me through the process of selecting a TV and setting up delivery for my new replacement TV.

    I haven't had to use the Geek coverage I got for my new TV, so that is good. I haven't had anybody I know tell me, "Boy, I sure am thankful that I got that Geek coverage for my item!", but I have to be fair and also say I've never heard any say it was a waste of money. I was a bit baffled that they don't give you anything other than the receipt to explain what I was buying and we all know how some receipts fade with age to a point that they're unreadable. I have spoken with the Geek department about other matters and they were helpful even if the item I had issues with did not have coverage, and I appreciate that.....big time!

    I have a rest of mind knowing that if there’s anything going wrong with my setup, I’ll have a timely response from the Geek Squad to repair or replace the faulty parts.

    Protection Plans are pretty expensive but when you need something repaired or replaced the agents are on it, and it's usually a fast and easy experience.

    Good warranty..after buying a TCL ROKU tv which we did not purchase a warranty on and having the sound go out and having a black picture after 2 years of use..we definitely bought a 5 year warranty with this Pioneer Tv..hopefully we’ll never have to use it but if we do we have it!

    Bought this for my second TV I bought from Best Buy just for a peace of mind at a great cost. I believe in Best Buy and I know they'll honor my warranty when I need it the most!

    Purchased this for my last 75 inch TV, 2 years in and one of the rows of pixels went out. Geek squad came out to my house and within 20 minutes they diagnosed the problem, I received an email accepting the claim and they gave me full credit toward my new TV. Within 2 hours I picked up my replacement TV in the store.

    I purchased this plan for my new television because I would never know when it might need service..being on a limited income, I'm watching what I spend and everything counts..while I have never used the service yet it is satisfying to have peace of mind in case something happens.

    This is the best protection plan out there! Loved it so much I got the same protection for my other(new) TV at my vacation home!
