You only need to read the terms and features for these Geek Squad warranties to see how beneficial they are on top of your manufacturer's warranty. Above and beyond. Most of us carry the insurance plans for cell phones each month as a "what if scenario," this is no different for high end home entertainment equipment. For less than cellular insurance and no "deductibles," this is a must have piece of mind. Better to have and not need, than to need and not have.

The warranty saved me o this purchase and helped offset the cost of an upgrade later. 5 year warranty was money well spent.

Really can’t give a review of service since I haven’t needed to use it. But I like knowing if something does go wrong with product purchased I have coverage at a reasonable cost.

Worth every penny to extend my warranty 2 more years and to get Geek Squad home service to fix and repair my new TV. I have had back surgery recently and am older. I needed a Geek Squad warranty to have the luxury of home service vs me having to load up my TV and taking it to a repair shop.

Why by one year when you can get five year for a good price I really like this

I always get the warranty package!!! Highly recommend! I had my previous TV from Best Buy and it went out after only 18 months. Best Buy replaced it and reinstalled the new one at NO Charge!

I have learned if I only have to make one phone call for help it has paid for itself. I purchased a new TV for our bedroom, our first smart TV. Didn’t understand why I couldn’t get it hooked up and working. The geek squad tech talked me thru the setup. He was quickly able to tell me I was missing the correct cable between TV and box. He told me what part was required. Once I got that part (a whole different story and review) I was set up and watching TV in less than 15 minutes.

Have not had the need to use this as yet but will definitely take advantage of this service if necessary.

Repairs or replacement you dont have to worry for a long time with this buy. If you have the money for it, why not! Esp since newer appliances don't seem to last now a day.

It's always a good idea to get extra protection plans on anything that you don't want to buy twice because while the quality is great in most of the new technology, any mass produced items have a few flaws once in a while, quality control is really good nowadays but it's always smart to be sure, I've had a few things that I have had to do the warranty on and I was really happy to have it because the manufacturer warranty had expired. I will always get the warranty.

I purchased the 5 year warrant thank God I did. The tv went bad in the fourth year and I was able to get the money back I paid for the tv and got a brand new tv. Well worth it.

I do recommend to getvthis services is the one thing thatvhave save more money for me in past year.

Geek squad is very good for yout warranty there very fast to get your product fix if they can't fix they will give you a store credit to purchase anything in bestbuy store

My Geek Squad Protection is the best purchase I could have made! I've had to use my plan twice so far since purchasing the TV. Once for the TV wireless capabilities, as the internal connector was not working, and once for the remote when the IR reader stopped working. The Geek Squad provided superior service both times. The wireless issue did take longer to solve, as the part was on back order for some time, but the Geek Squad kept in contact with me weekly to update me on the expected arrival and to let me know they'd not forgotten about me. Wonderful customer service!

Better to buy this protection plan to avoid unnecessary bills

Protection Plans are pretty expensive but when you need something repaired or replaced the agents are on it, and it's usually a fast and easy experience.

I have always purchased the Best Buy Protection Plan on big-ticketed items like TVs, laptops that could easily get damaged. I had been advised not to get it as it is a waste of money since products are built to last. But not all products do. For the $500/5yr Protection Plan I purchased in 2010, I have called Geek Squad several times to fix my broken TV. Paid $0 on all those house calls. When they could not fix the TV in my last service call, they replaced it. What did I get? A $1000 credit to go towards the purchase of a new one...Of course, I purchased the Protection Plan, thus this review :)
